Unsurprising. There's no way they could developp it in barely 2 years.
Doubt even 3 years would suffice. I just hope we get a trailer this year.
What a fucking joke that Kickstarter was. I blame Sony.
That's true because with more money, they can use it to sustain a longer development time. It's more likely the reason is simply the December 2017 target was given before they tripled their 2 million goal. The scope/length of the project had to be expanded to accomodate that (even if they were expecting it to exceed 2 million from being at the conference).

The December 2017 date was set when they were aiming to make 2 million (though probably expecting a bit more on top of that, but not the 4 million more they did make). They made 6 million so they should easily have enough funds from the Kickstarter to extend the production over a year longer.Shocking.
But the question is, where will they get the money to keep the production one more year? From a remasters sales? Sega funding?
Yeah, but when Star Citizen does it, all hell breaks loose.

Like most kickstarter games it's going to be soooooo bad when it finally comes out.
They must have additinal funding then as I can't imagine $6m carrying them for that long.
so it was shown at Sonys E3 conference at E3 2015... talking about "early announcement"...
