Something tells me there would probably a terabyte worth of porn for any videogame character out there. I'm amazed that it's been so tame for her as is. I'm sure part of that has to do with people exercising some discretion.
Hopefully some gaffers start thinking before posting for once.

Something like that it is safer to share with friends who know and understand you. Every comment we make publicly will garner a reaction of some sort.

It has nothing to do with age, it simply wasn't offensive (even on usual "non-anime fan!" poster standards).

We gotta police ourselves because people look for every single reason possible not to play games like Skullgirls and I'm not talking about Beef here. I'm talking about people who'd actually pick up a controller. It sucks, but this is the price we pay to enjoy and grow a game like this.

It was a nice piece outside of the little shot. It's just that we're not Street Fighter or MvC3. Even slip ups can hurt more even though the other games have ridiculous amounts of racy art floating around the net as well.

That's the real problem honestly, people just look for reasons to go "eww anime fans" and dismiss the game despite everything else and personally it's really annoying.

You guys are too paranoid about stuff like this making people not play the game. There are dozens of other reasons why people don't play Skullgirls. Pictures like this aren't that big of a deal. If people don't want to play, they won't play. You can't worry about those people; you just gotta worry about getting the people on the fence to play the game.
EDIT: I'll also add that even though those pictures aren't... necessarily socially acceptable, it may be better to accept the fanart of someone who enjoys the franchise and game rather than try to appease the tastes of people who probably weren't going to try the game out anyway. As someone who's built a community from literally zero people, I know that sometimes it's better to ignore the bad because you can't afford to lose anybody.

Well to give a serious response so it's better understood what the problem is because we have had racy pictures of various characters showing off their breasts or having seductive poses.
The line was crossed because of the child like imagery combined with sexual stimulation.
People don't respond well to whiskey in their vodka and I'll leave this discussion at that.
I don't think the "anime stigma" is an issue really. It has always been the roster number for people who don't appreciate/realize the sheer amount of work that goes into these games from what I've experienced.

It's a combination of things really, what I mentioned is just the one that annoys me the most.
I dunno about Stanley, but Isaac has had a clear lane to the top 4 since he was revealed. He caused a real stir when he was revealed, between the unique gameplay concept and a lot of enthusiasm in how he'd play from Mike Z.
Yeah, lets. On the bright side we haven't reached a level where we openly share hentai so that's good.
