My personal rankings of the MS first party studios.
Teams with multiple AAA teams:
343, Rare, Lionhead
Teams large enough to for one AAA title:
Turn 10, Black Tusk
Teams for AA or XBLA titles:
Leap, Victoria, Good Science, Twisted Pixel, MS Dakota, etc.
343 I think is a HUGE team. Pretty sure they had 343 employees as of March 2013, which is more than Rare and Lionhead.
I think Rare is pretty huge now too, they were already a 3-team studio and in 2010 they opened a new studio with a initial staff of 90 people.
It wouldn't surprise me if they are developing/overseeing 4 or even 5 games at the same time...
Well, MS definitely has significantly stronger studios than Sony does. Sucker Punch aside, I don't see anyone who's developed a game that's been as good as something from Remedy, Capy, or Capcom Vancouver.
I'm thinking most of those games (Don't Starve, Mercenary Kings, Ray's The Dead especially) in Sony's indie list are also on the PC.

Does anyone else feel like Naughty Dog are Sony's Ace card now? I adore Sucker Punch, Polyphony and SSM, and Ready at Dawn and Bend seem pretty good as well, but none of them have smashed it out of the park like ND have this gen.
This was my reaction too
Agreed they are Sony best team right now. last gen Sony Cambridge was showing big promise too but Sony destroyed them.they could have become SCEE ND.Does anyone else feel like Naughty Dog are Sony's Ace card now? Rare has only announced one game, does this mean they may have a core AAA title in development?
Rare are a massive team, and I doubt Kinect Sports requires that much manpower. Which leaves a huge part of the studio working on unknown projects, I'm thinking a big new core IP and a new Kinect IP is what's currently being made over there.

Jak 2 is one the worst games I've ever played. The best developers would never put out such a turd.I think they've always been one of the best developers in the world. Crash Bandicoot was the mascot of the PS1 after all.
I personally thought their was a lot of new IP, many if you include multiplatform games too, all the ones I mentioned and Knack, Destiny, TitanFall, The Division, Project SPARK, Mad Max and etc

I just can't wait for Sony to actually start announcing crap.
There's 20 titles slated for the first year (yeah right, as if they'll all make it), they need to be announced soon.
GamesCOM, TGS and VGA's are gonna be insane this year. Entirely insane.

This is like the most blasphemous post I've ever read.
Definitely.
I really think SSM should get their shit together.
Naughty Dog, SSM, and PD are the Sony heavyweight AAA trifecta. They are the Premiere League.
For Championship, we have MM, Sucker Punch, which was promoted from League One thanks to excellent infamous 2 and glorious looking second son, and Guerilla, who used to play in the PL with KZ2, but then were relegated to the Championship with KZ3. We'll see how Shadowfall fares.
In League One (third division) we have Zipper Interactive, Lightbox Interactive, and San Diego Studio.
Insomniac was found guilty of match-fixing and banned.
On the Western front, both ND and SSM are pretty much the big two.Does anyone else feel like Naughty Dog are Sony's Ace card now? lol, nice...
if you could possibly name the teams.... even better.

- 'Unannounced JRPG 1' (one I've mentioned before) will end up appearing.
- The Last Guardian will finally show up. So, people will finally get this title out of the way. I don't know what will happen with Team Ueda beyond this project, but they have talent, so I imagine they'll be integrated into SCEJ's other teams, or they might modify the team and give a new leader so they can continue with other projects. I really don't know though. It will be interesting.
- 'Unannounced JRPG 2' will be SCE's second attempt at a big game emulating FF.
Sure, I'll focus on the PL.
Naughty Dog: Manchester United
Poliphony Digital: Chelsea
Sony Santa Monica: Arsenal
Guerilla Games: Liverpool
Media Molecule: Everton
Sucker Punch: Manchester City
Evolution: Aston Villa
Quantic Dream: WBA
Thats true.
Naughty Dog made poop like the Last of Us.
You could say that.do you have sources for the jrpgs??? I've been waiting for proper AAA jrpgs since blue dragon and lost odyssey.
I still believe tlg will show up as well.
SSM & Naughty Dog had to be from the same city, just like real life. ND makes good games, SSM are loaded, hence the teams.fixed.
"Sony Worldwide Studios have 30 PS4 titles in development right now, 20 are going to be out in the first year of the PS4".I do wonder what the specifics of those 20 games were? Are they all supposed to be first party, or are they "console exclusives"? Do games like Octodad and Galack-Z count?
Match fixing as in .. Fuse?Naughty Dog, SSM, and PD are the Sony heavyweight AAA trifecta. They are the Premiere League.

Nobody has smashed it out of the park like ND has period.Does anyone else feel like Naughty Dog are Sony's Ace card now? I adore Sucker Punch, Guerilla, Polyphony and SSM, and Ready at Dawn and Bend seem pretty good as well, but none of them have smashed it out of the park like ND have this gen.
The Order is developed by Ready at Dawn. Pretty sure SSM is just supervising. The big team is working on a new IP (Stig's project). If The Order is being made by (what I assume) the smaller team at SM, what are the majority of SM working on?
I really hope its a new IP. Whatever game this main team announce is obviously gonna be pretty massive as it's one of Sony's Big Three with ND and Polyphony.
