It reminds me of the FLAK Cannon from Unreal Tournament, honestly. It's different in that it shoots splash damage instead of creating splash damage on impact but the firing speed called up that memory, I think.

There's generally a lot of stuff constantly going on with the inking. I imagine that particular intensity plays some part in why the game doesn't have AA, or just generally has a simplistic style to it.
