The era is built for games. Cool ships, large scale battles, a duck load of light sabers.

The aesthetic is great. Also more people like those movies than one would think.
The era is rich for other media- awesome tech, awesome armies, The Clone Wars is a great setting for stuff.
Also, it's the era that has the best Star Wars movies in it.

I was thinking maggie from TWD at first.
Literally best era for a Star Wars game. The diversity in the prequel era is unmatched by the prequel or sequel eras.

While the movies themselves were terrible, the settings and battles (Battle of Geonosis, Battle over Coruscant, Battle of Kashyyyk, March on the Jedi Temple) would be awesome in Battlefront.

It's time to let go. Realize this game will be stronger because of the maps, vehicles, weapons and heroes from the prequels. But yes, Ewan McGregor was the absolute best part of the prequels.
More eras = more DLC! Yay!
