Excellent! Thanks! :)

Amazing. Snake Pass is as of now #1 in 9 out of the 11 current charts, only beaten by Snipperclips in the US, and it's not out in Japan, explaining its absence there.

The question is now: When do we round up the charts again?

I'd say 1st Month and then 15th of the Month.

Apart from Blaster Master Zero this is about what I expect, poor BMZ :C

Actually Disgaea is way lower than I expected in Japan.

With the system's high attach rate for Zelda, seeing it so low in NA and UK is jawdropping.
Physical version is £12 ($15) cheaper in the UK, not that surprising really.

Also I imagine people bought Zelda with the console- this is indicative of digital sales over the last two weeks, so it's what they bought after they finished it :D

3. ACA NEOGEO: Metal Slug
5. ACA NEOGEO: Metal Slug 3
8. ACA NEOGEO: Neo Turf Masters

for the first time I'm proud of my country.

The rest of the world bought it physical.
Read the thread title again.

I did.
But I don't think there is any data out there that suggests Japan has a significantly higher digital attach rate for consoles than other countries. If anything I'd figure the west is bigger on buying console games digitally.

Japan tends to favor handhelds (in this case, handheld mode over docked) more than the West. It would make sense for them to pick it up digitally at a higher rate for that reason alone.

Japan also doesn't have Fast RMX which seems to me like a grave omission. Nintendo should've helped localize it.

Considering how it's doing WW, they are definitely missing out because of the on the go LAN is a real selling point for Japan where Switch is more likely to be utilized as a portable.

Nah... I think it was logic to expect most people going physical. First, it's Zelda. So even if not going for the Limited Edition I bet many fans wanted the disc to look at. Second.. it's kinda big for the limited internal memory (yeah.. I know you can put a card but still) so I guess many people have opted to not use that much space on Zelda.

Japan usually has poor digital percentages compared to the West, so I think something else is casino this. Maybe Zelda was sold out in Japan, forint several Japanese Switch owners to go digital? I don't have evidence for that, but that is a possibility. Alternatives, it could be that Japan digital numbers are so low that the difference between 2 and 6 is less than 100 units, meaning that it is simply a margin of error wherein this difference occurs.

Zelda #2 in Japan. Disappointed in the rest of those countries.

It's much more likely that the other digital games are selling worse in Japan than they are elsewhere, than it is that Zelda is selling signficantly better.

Also, as I said up-thread, the majority of Switch owners likely got Zelda a month ago at launch, since the overwhelming majority of Switch owners are buying the console and Zelda simultaneously and post-launch stock of the console has been extremely limited. So there's very few people left to actually buy the game at the moment, hence its deceptively low charting position in most countries.

Can confirm that the Dutch chart changed as well compared to a few hours ago. That's a nice feature imo, allows us to track the games' performance somewhat.

I'm still divided on getting Snake pass or Snipperclips. This list isn't helping lol.

Snipperclips is best for multi-player, solo kinda kills most of the enjoyment.

Snakepass is single player.

So depends on who you are playing with. Snipperclips is an absolute must if you have someone to play with though.

Looks like people preferred to buy the full Shovel Knight experience rather than just Spectre of Torment

Can confirm, I've been playing it with a friend at work during lunch and it's a LOT of fun. (Snipperclips)

Glad to see Snipperclips so high in all lists, I´ve been having a blast playing it with my GF. Really original and creative game. Also, nice to see Human Resource Machine appearing in some lists too, this little game has become an obsession of myne.

Trying to decide which game to buy next: Bomberman R, Has Been Heroes, Snake Pass, fast RMX or Shovel Knight (I already beat the normal and Plague Knight campaigns on 3DS).

Couldn´t agree more, it´s an awesome game to play with someone.

I hope Sumo release some sales figures for Snake Pass, I wouldn't be surprised if it performed best on Switch. That being said they supported each platform to a great extent like with Xbox Play Anywhere and PS4 Pro support.

It has probably done 25-100k depending on how many are buying on the Eshop. Not bad at all

Impressed to see Snake Pass at the top of so many charts.

I wonder if it could be the best selling version of the game.
