Is he from the OP site? He is using the leaked image from Vgleaks for Gears Judgment E3 trailer.
I simply like the "herp derp" picture of that unfinished or unpolished trailer XD.

$399 for Durango and Orbis would be pretty crazy.
We still don't know what special sauce MS has secreted in Durango yet...
I thought they also can extra CUs? Or that was the rumor anyway.
The specs we don't fully comprehend are making the makers of another console whose specs we don't know yet scared?
I guessing not a problem. Right?
Is the 4 CUs a problem?yes or no
Is that not bad for Orbis?
I would love for a dev comment on this.
I could find out, but I think they'll be unveiling a new IP this year. I don't think Killzone 4 will be there first. As far as I'm aware anyway.

Lherre said "it is a monster" months ago, and he said Durango > Orbis.
I guess things have changed since then.
go back few pages and read Shifty Gazer quoted comment.
No. Another poster... Stew? Confirmed that the TFLOP number is well over a year old and has been Sony's goal for quite a while. Do you blame news organizations or viewers for being inaccurate? There are no insiders posting information on this board, just a few winks here and there. It's not the fact people are wrong but the illusion of being an insider that should be concerning. They aren't egregiously wrong as of late -- but each piece of info has less value as time passes. You're being really dense on that one. The post is almost a year old, and he's relating what he heard. If you took rumors for facts he's not the one to blame.
In terms of pure computational performance the GPU is closer to a 7870 than a 7850 on the bandwidth side (actually slightly above a 7870) so performance should be around that when looking at the GPU on it's own. In a system where everything is connected "synergistically", performance gains can be quite large
What? Do it.I could find out, but I think they'll be unveiling a new IP this year. I don't think Killzone 4 will be there first. As far as I'm aware anyway.
triangle/vertices drawing power
is the most important spec. Something is missing...
How would this be reflected in what a gamer sees in a product?
Not just polygons, right? Vertex drawing is reflected in shaders/textures and the like? Or am I wrong here?
We are talking about a single digit percentage increase. nothing to fap over. Number is almost negligble.
Durango has special sauce. I've heard nothing about Durango being any sort of a compute monster. Microsoft's machine is designed around efficiency, profit, and bang for the size. It is pretty obvious what is going on with Orbis. 4 CU's for compute is fucking amazeballs.

lherre clearly types the word "thinks" in his posts regarding these consoles. There's a reason for that. It's advisable to stop treating speculation as fact, it's unhealthy. Neither of these machines are monsters
I don't believe it. Too much off-the-shelf for SONY.
These specs can do the Agni's Philosophy demo, with very little to no compromises.
Yet i find it hard to believe that nothing else than a global GDDR RAM is the wtf! element.
And while this

Please please please please...

No... Lherre:
It means bald space marines could have curvier scalps.
So, basically, we have a situation where Sony learned nothing from the $599 fiasco? Or are the materials in this enough for them to avoid being outrageously overpriced compared to the Microsoft console?
That's the only thing concerning me right now. I mean, if MS puts out their system at a target price of $299 like in the PowerPoint leaked, Sony could be in real trouble here :/
it's "minor" because it's "+28% rendering compute" VS "+400% CPU compute"
but it's probably full CU rendering if you want

Nope GTX680 vs 7850
Uhm...THIS. It seems like Orbis will still have still have GPU advantage, but even more so it will have a much larger compute advantage. This is before you account for the fact Durango may be reserving 2 cores of the CPU for the OS.
The 3GB of RAM for OS is crap. That's what I'm told by people who have proven to be reliable. So is the two cores dedicated to OS.
Lol no. Orbis specs are looking quite affordable actually. Nothing particularly exotic here at all. The 4gb GDDR5 is the juiciest price of this pie compared to what else is on the market.
Can anyone inform me the function of Zlib Decompression hardware in layman terms, please? Thank you.
No... Lherre:
Zlib is a form of compression that can be used to keep assets smaller on disk or in memory. Hardware decompression is fast.
When you put these two together it means you can read someone from hard drive and store it in memory in compressed form, then when you need it can use hardware to quickly decompress it.
Durango has something similar IIRC.
It means bald space marines could have curvier scalps.
Then why are people in this thread saying $450-$500?
Wasnt this because an early devkit of durango had 680 or something..?
Then why are people in this thread saying $450-$500?
Nothing wrong with that price. I make that in half a day. Then why are people in this thread saying $450-$500?

It's best to remember that these threads are full of nothing but wishful thinking until Sony and Microsoft actually say anything official.
I'm curious where the difference comes from. Usually these triangle setup numbers are simple to calculate and don't involve any efficiency comparisons. No, it's still an improvement upon Durango remored specs.
Not really, difference will be small, and tessellation make this number less relevant than before.
Nope. Closed system vs a PC
In consoles everything pushes the graphics.
Throw some money our way if your so ballin'.Nothing wrong with that price. I make that in half a day.
Triangle set up is at the very top of the pipeline. Shading etc. happens further down the pipe, the responsibility of compute units in AMD/GCN parlance.
