hopefully they show a ton of morpheus!
the future is here!
the future is here!
Damn right. Most exciting part of this E3 is all the VR stuff.
Lot of grandpas in here. It's going to be a rough next decade for you guys.
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Hopefully it is minimal at the actual conference.

Yeah... I really hope this isn't the future.

The dream is real!
I don't really find it that hard to use a bit of imagination to get a general feel of what it's like when watching others. I mean, it doesn't compare to actually doing it obviously. There's something particularly special when you're there in another world. But I'm unsure why so many people just don't get it at all.To experience it first hand you have to obviously be hands on. But the idea of others observing someone play is built in to the thing with the TV split out etc. I don't think it is any more unusual than watching someone play a regular game. Harder, perhaps, to relate entirely to what the person is experiencing if one has never experienced VR before, but still quite reasonable to watch and enjoy what's going on.
I dare say watching others play in VR, and their reactions/immersion, only sparks interest in onlookers. Again, maybe I'm unusual, but I've found it interesting to watch others playing in VR, seeing them and simultaneously what they see on a screen, and I have yet to try VR myself.
No thank you to VR, my reasons being I don't want to put a helmet on and be closed out to the rest of the world. Married people, and those with kids, can't really sit around for hours doing shit like that. Not interested, at all. Just give me a good controller and let me use my TV and I'm good.

Not sure how they would present VR in a conference setting like that. Probably just a bunch lot of "...and it also supports Morpheus" announcements.
Why?
Is it narrow minded-ness?
I agree with this.
I mean I'm glad it's got a big presence at their booth, but at the conference I could do without seeing one guy on stage experiencing it and explaining his experiences to the audience.
VR is not my idea of fun.
When i play games I like sitting around w/ my roomates/gf, sometimes have music on, etc.
I would hate to have to cut myself off from other people to game. Not too worried, i just hope focus isn't super lopsided.
I've got bad news for you! lolBetter this than motion controls.
Of course not.Have you even tried VR yet?
My gut feeling says the major reason half of their booth is dedicated to it is because they don't have much in terms of first party efforts to show off.
Honestly, I'm just not excited at all for PS4 VR just because the console is (IMO) too weak to provide a good enough experience, given the high resolution and framerate requirements.
