Why on sites ? Legal issues why in general ? Varies from country to country depending on sick as this sounds your age of legal consent and statutory rape laws . Why that because girls can hit puberty as young as 12 and child marriage is a horrible facet of life in many countries . So this question is almost pick your poison did you even think this over properly op ?

I didn't know what porn was till I was in 7th grade and some dude was like "hey check this out" on a portable DVD player he always had in his backpack lol.

Maybe because this limits the availability to even younger folks.

An 18 y/o wouldn't want to hang out with people 14 and under I assume, so they also wouldn't share what they buy with them.

Then again, sharing porn as physical media is a strange concept to me as it would make you look bad when word is spread you did that, these days certainly made redundant due to the internet.

I think it's only logical to have kids discover sexuality without the freaky porn stuff (or at least try, it's probably a lost battle with the internet now).
But then maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to create a new category of teen-friendly porn. Something that could be used both as sex education and "entertainment", without painting sexual acts as a circus performance.

There should be a site about the science of sex that teaches you about intercourse. Your parents would have to sign a waver and then it's ok. Throw some math and science in there and it's just health class.

At a younger age they may not understand that those are actors and models. It can setup unrealistic expectations and desires. At the end of the day we hope they are better educated and sensible at 18+. There are also some pretty nasty stuff out there too.

Heck, a lot of people don't seem to get that at any age. I don't think this is a solid argument.

Very true re more nasty material though. IMO that should be demarked at an even deeper level than softcore or regular porn. Stuff marked as BDSM or 'extreme' or whatever should have an extra 'Are you sure you want to watch this' or w/e.

Not that it would work. The internet will internet.

It doesn't need a lot of people though. Some things in society you need to consider those miniscule chances and make the call on it.

Kids are all different and they are all pretty impressionable. We know that a lot of kids can be rebellious and curious. Peer pressure also certainly exists. We need to consider stupid scenarios such as 1 popular bloke with too much enthusiasm for it making it seem like the coolest thing and spreading between all his friends until we find that .1 percent person where a problem occurs.

The nasty stuff is an interesting argument as well. I remember people jokingly sending links to lemon party, mr hands and all sorts of all other shocking nasty stuff (do not google, NSFW, NSFL) before I even had my first regular porn site.

Also, at least when I was in highschool there were certainly some more softcore magazines out there to give the kids' imagination a kick. You know the types, models in sexy swimsuits posing but nothing really exposed. Convenient censoring and what not. It is our form of ecchi I guess. Heck, you find some of this stuff in car magazines sometimes. Some of them can be sold to 16 or younger.
