That game was amazing. It was the first PSP game I bought and played it for a long long time.I feel like the most overlooked game is Pure. That game is great if you have all expansions. I wish I could play the more outlandish tracks with a perfect framerate.
I ran into Shawn Layden at PSX last year and asked him to please figure out a way to incorporate PSVR support, even advertise it with a WipeOut themed vomit bag if need be. Long as you default it to external camera (though please give me cockpit cam option with proper warnings!) you're good!!!!

even advertise it with a WipeOut

Short answer is yes:

Longer answer is 'dynamic 4K' which means it could drop when required, like the dynamic 1080p resolution in the PS3 original, but I haven't seen any evidence of this in the YouTube captures thus far.

Pure is amazing, I played that game to death on my PSP. Would be a real shame if none of Pure's tracks eventually made their way onto this.

Sadly he was on his way to something so he just asked my name, shook my hand, and said that we'll see what happens. I thanked him for wearing the shirt, too. What was his response/reaction?

So, does this contain anything I can't already play on my vita?
I love wipeout but Im not shelling out for a game I already have. (I'm actually playing 2048 right now)

Twice the framerate.
ive got all the dlc for 2048, so I guess I'll passWipeout Omega Collection contains the content from Wipeout HD and Wipeout HD Fury (the DLC for Wipeout HD) for PS3, and Wipeout 2048 for Vita.
Since you have Wipeout 2048, it's possible to obtain the Wipeout HD and Wipeout HD Fury content as DLC for that game. (This is a cross-buy freebie if you already HD & Fury on the PS3,) Doing this would give you all of the vehicles and tracks that are also in this game.
One thing to keep in mind is that Wipeout Omega Collection has a different structure, including "racebox" mode for all of the content. Racebox means that you can set up your own custom races--select your track, speed class, and event type. This is a feature that was unfortunately absent from Wipeout 2048. If that is a meaningful addition to the game for you (along with all of the other graphical enhancements, of course), then you'll want to consider getting this game.
HOLY CRAP, I am watching that episode of Bob's Burgers, and that moment just came up this minute. Am I psychic, or you for my post?Technically it should be wipEout, so pretty much everyone in this thread is wrong, not that it matters.
Perhaps it's just me, but any graphical upgrade for a game like Wipeout is enough for me to double dip.
Textures and vfx effects etc seems to have been touched upDoesn't seem like there are many graphical changes apart from resolution, but 60 FPS will feel so much better for 2048. And Racebox will be nice for it.

Thankfully now, if you've an older firmware Vita you can overclock it so it gets a flat 30fps in-game on 2048. It's significantly more playable now. Also, I had a hard time with the 2048 tracks on vita, the colorscheme and small screen and occasional slowdown made them more difficult than necessary, compared to the HD / Fury tracks.

Looks like there will be a new move/maneuver in the game. Not sure if this is indicative of anything but...

You could probably fit 2 races in on the PS4 version before the Vita even loaded one race :x
I'll be honest I couldn't stomach the framerate for long in that game but the loading times completely lost my interest. Worst version of Wipeout.

Like the addition of new environment effects and textures etc good remastering work all round can also see the new vfx effects from the cars too, changed and improved stuff everywhere including backgrounds and more thorough remaster
I don't remember the PS3 version being that blurry though and it was running near native 1080p must be something wrong with his video encoding with Pro footage together

Watched the footage but still not interested even though I really want to be.
There is something about the track design and the way the ship handles that just doesn't compare to Wipeout 2097. The feel it had as you 'just' scraped the sides of the track, how it felt you had to 'push' and grind into corners, it was amazing.
Nowadays everything seems to floaty and clunky (I know its 60fps so what the hell am I talking about lol).
I also think the effects could be much better.
Anyone else feel the same?
I'll probably buy when cheaper and never really every play it, such is my love for Wipeout 2097.
I might add the Vita version seemed to look more like the older ones but still not there. Maybe its just me and my rose tinted glasses?

Budget is the only relevant thing here. People don't want to accept the simple truths -allintospace said:No budget
I just realised that I'll be airbraking with proper triggers and not squishy marshmallow buttons.
