Can't remember what the sentence ended up reading, but I felt pretty stupid, since the email was forwarded to quite a few people. Place I work at is pretty light on tone though and everyone had a laugh.

Also I once called a girl's hijab a burqa. I felt ashamed after I realized what I had done. I still feel like an ignorant asshole.

In online conversations where someone talks about something bad in their past, I've tried to show sympathy by typing but typoed it into instead.

I've done the "you too" thing before too. Multiple times.

I tell myself that people who work jobs like that probably see that mistake too many times to be bothered by it.
