Xbox 360 Games On Demand Thread - Reasonable prices only

Was browsing the marketplace on the weekend and I was really surprised at the prices. For instance:

- Crysis 2 (19,99 EUR) [cheaper than new!]
- Metro 2033 (19,99 EUR)
- Prince of Persia 2008 (14.99 EUR)
- Bulletstorm (19,99 EUR)

Just Cause 2 is also at 24,99 EUR at the moment, which, while still a bit expensive, is ok IMO.

Glad Microsoft finally decided to use reasonable prices. I was really tempted to buy at least one game last weekend.

Prototype 2 is on sale too. Around 1600msp I believe. Hard to tell as its 249skr. Pretty cheap anyway.
Can you still pay in MS points? I had a look on the web marketplace and it was showing as £19.99, but when I try to go to the page it just takes me to a trailer with no option to purchase. Strange. I'll try it on the 360 later.

For crysis 2 GoD you can find the code cards rather cheap on ebay, bought mine for just under £5 because someone didn't want it.

If anyone is looking for some horror games this month I see Dead Space is only $14.99. Cheaper than what Amazon and Gamestop has it for. I only played the PS3 version but I feel like replaying it.

And this month the xbox rewards is for horror stuff. Spend 2000 pts, get 300 back. I would think Dead Space would qualify so you'd need to find another 800 pts to spend to get 15% off.

Wanna hear a good joke? Waste your time helping me! LOL!
Sooo, Shadows of the Damned was simply -okay-. Nothing about it was spectacular, and the game is no where near as interesting as pretty much any other recent SUDA51 game. If you can get it for cheaper anywhere else, avoid it on Games on Demand. Not a terrible game for $20 though.

Crysis is not so great so far, the AI for the game is TOO good. I've had them spot me from halfway across the jungle while crouching in a bush, or they'll spot me after I come out of cloak while I'm behind them. The psychic AI is ruining the game for me so far.

Prototype 2 is showing at 2400 msp for me, £19.99 :( I was going to buy it but not for that price right now.

Naughty Bear is £11.99 or 1440, that game is rather fun and sick at the same time, worth playing if you like stealth games.

I see both Mass Effect and Fallout 3 are $15. Only played Mass Effect 2 on ps3 and would love to check out the first game. Think I may go with that instead of Fallout 3. I'm interested in it but I'm also someone who didn't enjoy Skyrim and never played Oblivion.

Surface of Me

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
Gonna buy Metro as well, its still $24.99 at Gamestop, so this is a pretty good deal. Bought Crysis 1 a week or two ago for $10 as well.

Part of me likes low prices, but part of me doesn't want to see XBL turn into a steam-like trash bin of 99 cent garbage and constant how low can you go sales everybody buys and doesn't play :(

It sounds stupid, and probably is, but I think a price "floor" of like $10 might be a good thing. Low, but ensures you'll attach some sort of value (read: compulsion to play) to what you buy.

Anybody knows if Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will ever be on Games on Demand? I'd really like to have it on my Hard Disk. Marvel vs capcom 3 is on GOD, but not Ultimate...

Darksiders in the UK is 1140 points. I wish the GoD was the sme as xBLA with unified pricing.
Here in New Zealand the pricing on these is reeeeally weird. I have no idea how they do it.

Darksiders is $10/640MSP
Metro is $15/900MSP
Saints Row 2 is $30/1840MSP

Awesome, thanks!

Picked up Metro 2033 and You Don't Know Jack. The extra trivia questions are a steal for 400 spacebucks for all 4 packs! I bought them last time they were on sale (I didn't even have the game yet...sigh) for double. I should've waited, lol.

Picked up Metro 2033 since I have been wanting to play it for a while. Started off somewhat iffy but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty fun, also the atmosphere is great. Totally worth 800 points so far.

lol What a strange post.

You don't have anything to worry about with Microsoft in charge. So far the only real deals they've offered have been on very old games.

Bioshock 2 is still showing up as $20 for me.. is the deal not live yet?

For that matter, is it worth it? I played but never beat Bioshock a long time ago and never played Bioshock 2, so Im leaning towards the second.

I prefer Bioshock 2 far more to the original. The original offers up a great premise and incredible atmosphere, the sequel capitalizes on a coherent storyline and smart, enhanced gameplay.
