1TB needs to be the standard SKU.
I can see them going 500gb to keep costs down.

The update says June 1.
At $449, it needs to come with a 1tb hard drive and at least two games.
Throw in 4k versions of Sunset Overdrive and Killer Instinct.
Ms didn't "confessed" anything, they came forth and clarified an information DF got wrong. What they claimed was that the new processor is improved over what's availble on xbone, but that on xbone there was still significant cpu resources used for that.
Yeah, it could very well be a 10.5% difference.
Isn't Recore on PC anyways? It would be incredibly easy to just take a 4K screenshot of that if you wanted to attempt to start rumors.
It's a difficulty name from a customer-clarity marketing perspective. I think Microsoft legal would have nightmares about thousands of grandparents trying to order an "Xbox One S" or an "Xbox One X" over the phone and being shipped the opposite console.
Not to mention Xbox One X doesn't sound too bad but totally lacks creativity.
I am? For what?Man you're putting in work.

Come on, they tried to not even call it a jaguar, you got to admit the CPU spin was bloody magnificent, dont give me that whiter than white stuff, I am too old to be that gullible.
They clarified the situation, after the PR bull thats fessing up in my book, but call it what you want.
It is improved, they upped the clock and spun some PR to confuse and make it sound sexier than a 2.3 Ghz Jaguar.
People should be excited. I'm excited.Ensuring no one gets too excited for Scorpio. Because you know, god forbid.

People should be excited. I'm excited.
But people should be excited for reality, not fantasy.

...why? I don't understand this line of thinking. So let them be disappointed then.

It had nothing to do with the screenshot, which was of lower settings. It had to be figured out by different means. But my point wasn't that it required crackerjack investigative journaliam. My point was that what they told Digital Foundry was false in at least one respect. Since they weren't 100% accurate, we can't confidently assume the truth of the rest. Not really, it was right there in the screenshot they provided
As pointed out, the DX12 interpreter is in prior Xbox Ones as well, and doesn't seem to do much to close the paper gap to standard PS4. The audio block is improved by firmware only; the prior Xbox Ones will be getting the new features too. And besides, the same block is in all PS4s as well.It has a 9% higher clock, it may potentially offer more than 9% more performance because of the co processors like the audio block (which is even improved) or the dx12 co processor, which according to them practically frees the processor from the burden.
For you to justifiably say this, you would have to know categorically that Scorpio will have a higher performance gap. So what's your source for that fact?Man you're putting in work.
Error: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation faultYeah, but Xbox One X
Error: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault
I'm not downplaying anything, i'm simply stating a fact. How that fact makes people feel is irrelevant.Because ultimately, people are excited for an Xbox console being the most powerful console on the market and being able to play their games at a level of reasonably high quality.
I don't see why some are so compelled to throw a wet blanket over it all the time. It wasn't enough the Xbox One was being shit on for the first 3 years of this gen for a multitude of reasons - power being at the forefront, but now we need to downplay the powerful version too?
No one seemed to have an issue talking up the PS4 advantage over the Xbox One despite the differences in most cases not being overly noticeable to most.

Do I find posting on a message board exhausting? Not generally, or I wouldn't do it.I'm just talking generally man. You just seem to always be there to make sure no one thinks this thing is better than it is (or could be).
Don't you find it exhausting?
So what's your source for that fact?
Some people on Reddit now saying Battlefront II at native 4K/60fps is most definitely at low settings. Wouldn't that be a bit disappointing? If true, I really hope Dice gives up options. Give up both 1080p and checkerboard 4K too, why not?
i'm not aware of any multiplatform game on Ps4 or Xbox One, that is not using at least medium or high settings from Digital Foundry coverageGood to know. I responded to the person and said I doubted that. He said it would me medium at best.
ofc that is not tue.
low setting are not even used by regular Ps4 or Xbox One
that is just for very weak PCs

The Screenshoot said EQ2x for the game at 4k, and lichard said that when they tunned it to ultra increased to EQ4x. That was information given to him that Richard passed along, I'm not sure where you are getting that they tried to hide anything. It had nothing to do with the screenshot, which was of lower settings. Not the same block, the audio block of xbox was designed by MS, and will handle even positional audio required for VR/AR and Dolby Atmos, while on Ps4 and Pro they needed the breakout box.As pointed out, the DX12 interpreter is in prior Xbox Ones as well, and doesn't seem to do much to close the paper gap to standard PS4. The audio block is improved by firmware only; the prior Xbox Ones will be getting the new features too. And besides, the same block is in all PS4s as well.
Battlefront 2 isn't released yet, so we don't really know. Or there are info about it already?
If Battlefront 2 is 4K on Scorpio, then its graphical settings will be at least the same as XB1.
Battlefront 1 and common sense is enough
there is just no way any developer would use LOW textures for a console game
and especially not low textures for a game in 4k
what do we even discuss here?
Do I find posting on a message board exhausting? Not generally, or I wouldn't do it.
Don't you find attacking people simply trying to contribute information to a discussion exhausting?
To be fair I've noticed his negativity towards Scorpio as well and I could give a shit..but yeah it's definitely a thing.People still riding Matt's jock? lol
The negativity will be out in force the day it's shown at E3 don't you worry about that. It's going to be scrutinised to death especially here.To be fair I've noticed his negativity towards Scorpio as well and I could give a shit..but yeah it's definitely a thing.

In MS in general. I see quite a bit also.

No negativity towards Scorpio here. Again saying that the Scorpio CPU isn't a giant leap over the Pro's isn't positive or negative, it's just a fact. I'm getting a Scorpio the day it comes out, and it will instantly become my most played system. To be fair I've noticed his negativity towards Scorpio as well and I could give a shit..but yeah it's definitely a thing.

DF about Mafia 3:
We always start our PC optimisation efforts by studying the console versions, to see the trade-offs and compromises the developer made in tailoring their engines to resource-limited hardware. The surprise is that Mafia 3 on console runs at low settings across the board, and lower than PC's bottom rung in areas such as grass draw.
The older the consoles are, the bigger the chance they can be set to low settings. Or just to avoid it, in very poor resolutions.
Day zero if true !Yeah, and throw Elite controller and a monitor too, plus a one year live and game pass.
