Yeah I'm willing to be patient as he's such a legend and I'm super interested in Shenmue 3. Guessing everyone else probably echoes the same sentiment.

There are a total of 11 chapters that make up the whole story. Over the past 14 years I originally planned for there to 4 or five games to the series. If at all possible, I would still like to realize the full story of 11 chapters.

Lol, I thought this was hilarious. But yes, I'm glad he answered it. And I'm glad he's going to change the face because the design on the new model looks weird, and doesn't look like the old Ryo that we all know.

I read it as the new one, but it's possible he isn't happy with either. I'm sure the original face was limited by technology at the time. It's highly unlikely with the advances in graphics the face will look the same. Look at the new Drake in Uncharted 4
his current face. He says, in the end, the one he has in his mind will be used. Meaning the one he wants isn't realized, yet.

Is this implying the guy becomes Akira from Virtua Fighter...?
The new one is still strange looking. The new model can be seen in the video versus the kickstarter page version. Considering how Suzuki is so very detail-oriented, we'll most likely get a much better model in the end.

That image is from when Shenmue was Virtua Fighter RPG (see the code name at the top left of the image). The lead character in that game was Akira hence Akira featuring in the images.
