Halo 5 Opening Cinematic

Vales the pink power ranger right?

343 finally gets the female Spartan model right. Gimme gimme

Also, as to why they're steam rolling everyone, Osiris is obviously playing on Easy mode. Then again, the Elites in Halo 4 weren't hard even on Legendary so who knows.

With the dual nature of the game, (Locke vs Chief, Blue vs Osiris) I presume Blue team will get their own introductory cinematic - I wonder if those spartans have slightly slower, mode deliberate movements, akin to more classic Halo cinematics... Something to distinguish the II's from the IV's. That'd be awesome.

Great trailer. I'm almost done reading the Fall of Reach book but everything I seen in this trailer was like it was lifted directly from the book. It's great to see them closer to the story now in their abilities.

Man lore-wise that was kinda hard to swallow. I mean 4 Spartans gallivanting the battlefield and owning such a sizable force...? I'd understand if they were reasonably outnumbered.

Otherwise, that was pretty awesome.

What? this is completely accurate to the lore, a small team of Spartans can take down thousands of covenant.

how do you think they got the name "Demon"?

oooooh yeah

Pretty cool. I feel some of the camera work could have better, as some spots felt flat. Mostly the part on the Cov ship. Some semi-weightless running sections, though I think that's what they were going for, but it still looks and feels off.

Gets me hyped for Halo 5 though! Mission accomplished.

Their Forerunner stuff is still dumb as shit though, every time I get hyped for this game I remember that that stuff is gonna be a part of the story and I get really bummed out about it.
Yeah, I feel ya... I'm not a huge lore guy, so I'm not toooooo bummed about it, but I definitely thought the direction Halo 4 took the Forerunner was pretty bad. Hopefully they can get back on course in H5.

Charming dude, in a cheesy kinda way. But I guess that's Nathan Fillion in a nutshell.

But naw, his armor is pretty cool here. I was one of the people opposed to him being a Spartan to begin with, but with the book and making him a main character in Halo 5 it's a lot easier to digest.
Gotta agree to disagree here, lol. I hated 99% of the dialogue in ODST. All the machismo and middle school bickering was just unbearable. And his suit is the only custom MJOLNIR I've disliked so far. None of this is a big deal ultimately, but it all adds up to me not feelin' the Buck love.

I will agree that Nathan Fillion is a god tier voice actor tho.

man they are not showing Spartan doing ground pound on vehicle makes me think you can't do that at all.

I won't be surprised if they as veterans of long and hard war are less showy in their movements in battle and not as cheeky and joking. To drive in the point that MC and Blue Team are old scarred veterans.

Where Locke & Co. felt very showy and cheeky, excited newbies :D

I can't wait to see blue team because of this.

The Warden Eternal said something about passage being denied while a giant bird made of random floating chunks of metal hovered in the background and then my brain shut itself off in self-defense so my hopes are not high

Sounds like your mind was already made up before you saw anything. Not to mention, you saw something completely out of context.

Yeah. I pretty much don't take the campaign lore seriously anymore. I can't get behind what Halo 4 introduced. I pretty much can't stand it... =(

It's all about the campaign gameplay and MP for me now.

Yeah, even in the early days, the Spartan IIs—a unit of them, especially—were made out to be like a force of nature during ground operations.

This is totally in line with that.

God I must be old and crusty because that shit did nothing for me. It felt like The Avengers or some shit.

I...I need to go drink some vinegar or something...

I feel basically the same. The whole time I was wondering why they didn't just drop directly to their destination rather than snowboard down the mountain punching people and doing cool acrobatics.

Yeahhhhh, that Forerunner dude seemed pretty corny, but the giant robo bird was bad ass imo.

first half was boring but that second half was awesome. Not a big Halo fan but that's a good trailer.
