TITANFALL 2 Reviews Thread

Um doesn't it say 5? "Yet in terms of design and pacing, the five-hour campaign is fantastic. It begins with a botched mission on the planet Typhon"

I know that's not much better but still, hopefully it really isn't as short as BF1's mini campaigns added together were. It feels like most games in general now a days are having 5 hours or less campaigns, beat Gears 4 in that amount of time as well too.

It isn't getting one for some reason, I think because they are technically still a partner with EA and they didn't want it or something

My advice is to play the SP on Hard right away. I think I played it around 6-8 hours. Not sure. Hard definitely better since it's not that hard. Haha! :) Don't want to spoil anything, but really impressive stuff from SP that's not "setpiece A to setpiece B" thing.

The same media that praised the first game as the second coming. I'd wait to see long term reactions and player base. That GS review barely even covers the multiplayer.

This is so beautiful to witness.

A solid af Campaign? Why I never.

Waiting for IGN myself, I don't always agree with their scores, but certain writers I can better compare my perspective.

Edit: Smh at people guessing 10 reviews in... Cheaters

From the Gamespot review.

While the first Titanfall was always turned up to 11, so to speak, with smaller maps and cookie-cutter Titans focused on dealing damage, Titanfall 2 understands the value of breathing room. It doesn't burn you out with an onslaught of firefights--its maps are focused on exterior environments, and are often on the larger side, giving you time to plan out your attack

This is what I don't want to hear. I want it to be cranked up to 11. Not like the beta didn't already tell me this, but it's still disappointing.

I have a few days to decide if I should keep my pre-order or not.

Can you change difficulties mid campaign?

Oh my.

Hype approaching critical levels.

I thought I was going to pick this up early next year but I'm getting pretty tempted by these reviews, will probably wait to hear impressions from folk here but ill take this over Battlefield or COD if I'm going to get a FPS this year.

IGN hasn't provided a score, but boy the review reads like it'll be rated high.

After reading polygons review what I feared about the campaign seems to be true. The AI isn't up to snuff of a player controlled pilot

I'm still going to get it

I think so. I'll check again later to be sure. I played it on Hard right away. -- And Rayme just beat me to it. LOL!

You'll know this little gameplay thing they did once you reach it. =)

Another thing to note is that there's a TON of skins for everything. There's Pilot, primary, secondary, Titan nose, Titan, Titan weapon skins! Read that again. And there's patches, banners, etc. All have different challenges in order to get, so those who want that carrot on a stick thing? Yeah, that should last a while. Haha!

On MP, I really dig Crash Site. Fantastic map. :)

I think the Infinite Warfare beta being not very well received followed almost immediately by glowing reviews for Titanfall 2 will help this game a lot for people that don't have an interest in Battlefield (I'm buying both, but there are a lot of people who will never touch Battlefield).

This isn’t just an unexpectedly great FPS campaign. It’s a genuinely special one. The kind that doesn’t come along very often, but shakes up perceptions of the genre the instant it appears. Frankly, it’s ridiculous that we get this in the same year as Doom. But get it we do. And change things it really does.

It has about the same score on Metacritic, and players loved the first one, let's not write a narrative that's not there.

I hope it's as good as the first one, but it will be hard to give it the time it deserves between GOW4, BF1 and COD
4R
. Glad to hear there's a good campaign.

Wow, this is scoring pretty well!

Um, I hate doing this since I work for the company (disclaimer), but I also like saving people money...

Remember, if you bought Madden, FIFA, NHL, or BF1 and you were a Power Up Rewards Pro Member, you will be getting a $20 coupon off Titanfall 2 (via the EA Pro Gaming Pass they had together). They upped this coupon last week. So, that's not bad.

Check your active offers or have your local store do it for you on their tablet.

If the mods hate this, I can delete. But that's good savings you may have forgotten you had if you shopped in stores.

Glad I waited and got this over battlefield this year. I think the community will be around awhile on this. I never had any problems getting a game in titanfall and with no season pass there won't be any dividing of the community like COD and battlefield.

Dat Gamesradar review, might pick this up in the end

Battlefield 1, Doom, Overwatch, Titanfall 2, golden year for fpss

9... 9... 9... 7 wait

Just because there is a PS4 version
