Echoing these impressions, I'm about 3 hours into the campaign and it's been an absolute blast so far.
 
With those XIM adapters and WASD+Mouse peripherals, isn't the input a lot different than playing on a PC since the consoles would read/register those inputs differently than a PC would? I have no experience with them but it seems like there would be weird acceleration and movement but I could be wrong.

That's ok to me. I'd rather have a condensed single player experience that is action packed than a padded grind just to make people feel like they got their $60 worth. Been leaning more and more towards grabbing Titanfall 2 at launch as each day passes.
 
The positive campaign impressions make it harder to decide whether or not to keep my discounted order. I loved the original game but the beta alpha absolutely killed my interest in the sequel's multiplayer.

Whoops.

But back on point I did follow the changes that have been made to the game since that Alpha test but it still lacks, at least from recent videos, that insane chaos (in terms of presentation and gameplay) I loved so much in the original game. Yeah, it'd be better to actually play it to know one way or the other and that's the dilemma.

I like it. Get home from school or work and it's in the mail. I understand different schedules, but for me it's been great.

Honestly, literally any other day in the week is better than Nintendo's Sunday releases. Brawl released on a day where I had school the next day. They don't do it now, but the three I remember are Brawl, Pokemon Platinum, and Galaxy 2.

What exactly are you trying to show? The fact you missed every shot except the point blank shotgun blasts?
 
Havent played any of the betas but just preordered based on reviews. TF1 is one of my favorite mp shooters , I hope this one is just as good.

That's a shame. Binary Domain had a cool system where your team mate's opinion of you can raise or lower based on your choice. It appears
Some characters can die if you dont have a high enough relationship number

There wasn't any jumping on anyone. Simply and honest and curious question from me. Just seemed like an odd choice for a post for someone who doesn't normally post on the forums. Not saying he's right or wrong.

The Slayer rating. Also, since you asked:

- the Plasma gun (which misses) has a Stun Bomb as an alternative shot. So when I switched to it I'm not bothered about actually aiming for the enemy, I was mashing the alt button but it hadn't recovered yet. I dunno why it didn't Stun the last enemy (you can see him flinch so it should have) but that's the usual range for it, so I just missed one shot here.

But anyway, I wasn't demonstrating my aim, I'm showing off the rating on that map in particular which so far only 6 others have gotten.

It's not that impressive though, admittedly. If you have Doom I'd suggest you try.

Yeah, I'm mostly joking of course, but that was definitely where I noticed a fundamental difference of opinion regarding multiplayer shooters. I really disliked Advanced Warfare because I felt that the lateral jump jets turned the game into a chaotic mess of spray-and-pray. The Black Ops 3 traversal stuff at least feels like it requires some skill/practice to utilize effectively. When somebody runs a helix up a tower and pistol headshots me I'm not even mad.

I'm hoping that same level of skillful traversal will be a big part of TF2

Oh I get it now! We both have a Titan. Soooo I guess that means we both understand how to play Doom and know what the x30-something and over 9 million meant? I guess some here haven't played Doom yet? I mean I guess I could understand how they might have been confused? Wait... nope lol.

i haven't liked COD in a long time but if i had to choose one it'd be AW for sure.

Anyway ~ a XIM4 user on console leaderboards is like Beiber turning up to a local pub Karaoke competition. If you're going to use m+kb to get an advantage... play on PC...

I do feel like this dude felt like he was speaking for all the disheartened fans of the original who had bad impressions after the Tech Test. This gameplay is... Yuck. (it wasn't terrible, but what a CoD way to play Titanfall...)
