TITANFALL 2 Reviews Thread

I havent had a chance to read all the reviews yet, but is there any reason in particular the X1 version is rated higher on Meta then the Ps4 version.

Pre ordered FFXV to meet the $100 spend criteria for bonus PSN credit, but I just saw the Eurogamer review and I'm kicking myself for not getting this instead.

Liked the first one quite a bit for the little hands on time I had with on my friends PC but it was so inconsistent on my XB1 and I had trouble finding matches. But the gameplay loop seemed so addicting so I was a bit ashamed I never got to put much hours into it.

Fast forward to now and most of my friends are buying/bought Gears of War 4/BF1.

And then I saw a gif of TF2 this morning and was like fuck it and ordered a copy off amazon. However I'll probably end up just going to EBGames and picking up a copy tomorrow instead.

Man, bummed to hear that there's even less mech customization this time around. I fantasizes about armored core levels of customization...

I thought BF1 was the best shooter of the year, but Titanfall really seems to be better. The campaign is actually glorious, its no Doom but second best it might be. The IQ is sharp and colorful, I like how this looks. The gameplay is perfect. The MP is solid and the DLC is free. I think this game is a must have and I don't regret buying this one week after BF.

Just bought it. Can't wait for the Pro when i read these player reviews.
Will play tonight. Installing now. Pretty excited to see what the fuzz is all about.

Eurogamer Essential award pushed me over the edge.

Wasn't even on my radar based on the tech demo impressions, but after the reviews and remembering how much I loved TF1, plus wanting to support developers who give out free post launch support with free dlc, I had to get it. Easy purchase. Can't wait to try it out.

It's basically a whole month away. I'm assuming the game will go down to about $40 for BF?

Likely 30-40 range. It isn't a huge difference, but with so many games coming out, and I just got BF1 weeks ago, just can't justify it just yet.

Plus I want to make sure the game lasts, sometimes the impressions are great at first and die off within a week (TITANFALL 1 COUGHCOUGH).

Dayum.

X1 rating on Metacritic is 91. That's such a perfect number for this.

That's based on only 11 reviews though, which is a crazy small number.

The PS4 version has an 89 (which is also amazing) based on 23 reviews. Even that is very few reviews, which is interesting. I'm assuming a ton more will come next week.

These reviews make it sound special, but I'm not that much of a FPS multiplayer fan to buy this and Battlefield 1 so close together. Decisions.

I was going to say something about EA Access, but then I realised that you're probably on PS4.

BF1 campaign is fun but it doesn't "satisfy" people ;p

Eurogamer Essential award made it easy.

Bought it last night, downloaded when I slept, off to play it now :)

See ya pilots

This game is 90% on Metacritic for PS4 and Xbox One

Well done ;)

5 from Gamekult. Ouch.

They are not impressed by the campaign either bar
the time shifting level
.

If they're not impressed by the campaign, ten what the hell campaign do they like?

edit: skimmed with google translate, they seemed to hate how BT had a strong role in the story (they say he is more important than MC) and that the MP is basically Titanfall 1 with its charm replaced by more CoD-like gameplay
