Starfox |OT| Copilot.....Do a Barrel roll!

Starting my second run today and I'm about halfway through now deciding to go on to Sector X or Solar. Loving the game and I'll eventually get over my complaints about the voice acting and the land rover.

This is exactly how I would like a new original Star Fox to be, a solar system like this with about 15 to 20 planets or areas and different routes depending on how you complete a level with a focus on replayability, high score, etc. Minimal focus on narrative with the goal being to play over and over trying to achieve a better result or a different route/ending. I really hope this sells well enough to encourage them to make a Star Fox 64 2. 🤞

Would love to see many more classic games receive this kind of treatment with a strong focus on remaining authentic to the core mechanical functions of a game as the utmost priority with other peripheral factors being expanded or embellished.

Playing with the Switch Nintendo 64 Controller is peak perfect. 💯

Me reading this thread after just buying a Switch 2, listing out games on sale on the eShop (Diver Dave, Ace Attorney Trilogy, Okami HD) about to buy after work.

Damn you guys, you're making me feel like I should buy it just to experience an actual Switch 2 game.

You're all making me FOMO for a franchise I never played!

Area 6 level boss was giving me a hard time. That's the only level I died on numerous times.

Getting a Switch 2 means your backlog doubles instantly somehow, lol.

Don't skip out on Donkey Kong Bananza either.

That one is for sure. Tried the demo and i was absolutely HAPPY the second they gave you the controls and went "go smash things now, go."

Smashing everything was cathartic after work.

Definitely getting it soon, just not in a rush as FoxMcChief said:

And I can sense that now having already bought 5 games for it lol

Love how Nintendo can keep remaking the same game - Star Fox 64 was remade/reimagined not once but twice before this (Star Fox 64 3D and Star Fox Zero) - and still bring in significant revenue.

Probably because it's never just a 1:1 remake. StarFox on the Switch 2 adds a bunch of content. The cutscenes alone make it feel like a summer blockbuster movie. And they even managed to make sure they blend in to each other, depending on how a particular playthrough unfolds. I also liked how even if you went a particular way, it affected the ending cutscene.

Then theirs the challenge mode, which adds some more depth to each level.

Edit: nvm. I got through the Zoness Challenge. I do think that it is ridiculous to try to find a small periscope that blends in with all the gray muted colors of the stage.

Man I hope this strikes a cord with a new generation and this game takes off. I'm already expecting it to be the best selling Star Fox since the OG64.
YUP same.. hope it sells well enough to convince Nintendo to give us a new star fox game taking full advantage of Switch 2. Would love to see a melding of Star Fox Adventures and Starfox in space.. so an open universe of sorts, where you travel through space and complete different missions and also land on planets to explore... just want more star fox.
