No I'm talking about the GAF before NeoGAF. I haven't been posting a lot since the switch to NeoGAF because I'm too busy these days. But also a bit because sometimes I feel like saying things but I'm afraid to get banned. Guess the moderation is working, but I'm always a bit stressed. Kinda like I am right now actually. It used to be more fun. Now it's all about being as politically correct as possible and being on everyone's good side...

Which has it's benefits, the discussions are more civilized in some ways. Posting on NeoGAF is kinda like talking at a board meeting lol. Doesn't matter how smart or well versed you are, if you're not pitching the company line, you're not gonna fit in. Anyway it's not like that ALL the time, only to some extent. I understand why the rules are in place though, considering the board. If it wasn't for them we'd be like gamefaqs or 4chan or something.

Well despite these rules, whether you agree with them or not is not your choice you agreed to the TOS, I can genuinely say GAF is STILL the best Gaming Forum, if not THE best forum, period.

Whoever came up with the idea, to make it so you can't use free email accounts deserves a cookie. Not only does it limit alt-accounts, it limits membership to those who "serious" about joining.

Things pretty much fall into these categories:

-The veteran mods of previous iterations of GAF who did a good job
-People I brought on during the 2004 crisis to help with technical issues and get the new site operational
-GAFers I get to know well over a long period of time and offer the position to (some accept, some don't)
