1080p/30fps, solid, no drops, in my hands on experience.
That is good, I haven't heard anything which specified vanilla performance until this, frame rate more important than actual ps here for me.

1440p is sawft as fuck if Uncharted 4 is anything to go by :/
Really don't get how this isn't higher res on Pro. I coulda sworn they mentioned something about 4K.
Let's just make this very clear. There is one reason it doesn't run at 4k, because the Pro isn't powerful enough. And yet every PSVR game is 60fps or more.
It's not the specs.

But of course its the developers. They just left the game in debug mode which was 1440p, forgot, pushed and got a coffee instead.
Give me strength.
Am I really the only one who doesn't see what the big deal is?
If that's solely stopping you from buying this then, I don't know what to say.
What's the basis of you're conclusion that other games that run at higher resolutions are more demanding?Several games more demanding than this run at a much higher resolution.
But of course it's because the Pro isn't powerful enough. Here on NeoGAF we believe in equality and all devs are created equal amirite? Arkane are equal to Guerilla Games, and no devs shall be called lazy in my vicinity.

I expect a full report on comparative rendering techniques, graphical pipelines with full documented evidence to why this isn't ran higher.
Not the rantings of someone who doesn't have a god damn clue and is just making excuses for a console he loves running a game at a resolution they don't approve with.
What really annoys me is that the massive amount of people who contribute to making this remaster will probably have a quick read through of threads like this and get really down, disheartened and quite upset that their passion project over the past years is being slaughtered for not running a higher resolution because the target platform couldn't do it at the quality they wanted. That's what gets me.
Nobody in this thread has any idea how this game is structured, how it's rendered, how the gameplay is or isn't tied to frames, what is or isn't intensive in the program itself, how things are loaded, nothing. There's a lot of "but this doesn't look as impressive as ______" but not a lot of understanding how this stuff is actually done.
I think it's 240p/30fpsOut of curiosity, what resolution and framerate were the original games?
Ah yes. The good old "well the average person won't care! It's still gonna sell!"some people play frames per second, others play to have an entertaining time.
as another poster mentioned, the average person doesnt know, nor give a single fuck about fps, only about the experience.
the 60fps or nothing at all crowd need to get out of their little bubble and realize this.
this trilogy is gonna get a ton of accolades for all the painstaking work put into it. a love letter to all crash fans.
Some people actually like when a game plays better, which increasing the FPS factually does, than just some shiny graphics.some people play frames per second, others play to have an entertaining time.

For a Playstation 1 game? How!?30 fps is fine.
I don't think Crash is the type of game that needs 60 FPS tho.

Oh come on still its not even a remake of the game there's no excuses for 30 fpsThere is absolutely nothing remaining in this remake from the original PS1 game. They used PS1 grey mesh level block-ins for reference. That's it.
Please tell us more about your in-depth knowledge of their rendering methods.
If you think VV are "lazy" or not good at their jobs despite all of the things they've implemented based on fan feedback, then I don't even know what to say to you other than you might want to get a better armchair for your living room dev command center.

It's really annoying that Activision decided to call these "remasters" even in the title just because it's a popular buzzword, it helps make the differences between those and remakes even more ambiguous to the general public. How anyone who's really into games can't see these are remakes is beyond me tho lol.
Don't think I called VV lazy or said they're not good at their jobs, I just said some devs are good at their jobs and some devs aren't. You know, like in every fucking job out there. But out of curiosity, what did they implement based on fan feedback?

this low poly PS1 remaster

This game was made from the ground up for PS4 with nothing but the original's level models for reference. It's not a remaster. Ignore the buzzword.
some people play frames per second, others play to have an entertaining time.
If the timing of your button presses matters, 60FPS is called for.
I have no idea why everyone is excusing this low poly PS1 remaster for running at 30FPS. If this game were given to Bluepoint, it would be 60.

people who truly give a damn about crash arent gonna care about fps. for them its the memories about what its like to control a fictional marsupial and pass on their enjoyment to future generations of gamers. of what gaming should be.
everyone else, well, they'll stay angry and bitter.
its their loss.
"From the ground up" means they could have made it 60FPS from the ground up. Really, if they're starting from first principles, they could have designed all of their assets and rendering targets for this.

Nope. Only the first reveal trailer had 60fps footage, every other video has shown the game running at 30fps.Hold on, wasn't the initial shot footage of this game (at an event, filmed from behind someone playing it) showing the game running at 60? And, the trailers too?
