I can understand having hopes for Wonder Woman, both for what it represents, and it being a new voice tackling that universe. But the people making these critical bombs keep getting fucking chances... *sigh*

I mean you wanna make a GCS movie? Fine. Do it. Should have done Birds of Prey, but fucking whatever. But either Ayer really got fucked with how much control WB took away from him, or his vision really was what we saw on-screen which is all the more depressing. And if the latter is at all the case, this movie is boned.

Or not considering all the cuts and revisions they had him make. And the actors didn't seem to exactly have the best time on set and it wasn't all Leto's fault.

Yet he's back for this AND he's working on a squad sequel and Margot is working with him again. So it couldn't have been all that bad.

David Hayter already wrote the script. He could have called him and got some shit done. Maybe even invited Kojima to make the best Black Widow movie.

I dunno, Age of Ultron specifically went out of its way to make the priority in the final battle to save the people. Not exclusively in reaction to Man of Steel, but Avengers 1 as well.

And according to the Russos, they convinced Feige to let them do Civil War as Cap 3 because of the Batman v Superman announcement. They've been quoted saying this.

None of these movies are out. I'd love for them all to be amazing, but there's no reason yet to have much faith in any of this.

I wonder if they'll have any Birds of Prey cameos since I believe this movie was first rumored as both the Sirens and the BOP.

Or the BOP are the 'bad guys' of the movie.

I'd totally fucks with a Black Widow movie where she gets Bucky as her sidekick tho.

Probably a sad commentary on the environment for female writers in regards to action movies more than anything, but it's an especially egregious example of marketing schmaltz coming from the cinematic universe helmed by Zack Snyder.

Suicide Squad was one of the lowest points that comic cinematic universe movies have ever been. But BvS is the peak as far as I'm concerned, did something interesting with the concept. So personally I got both ends of the spectrum this year.

This will probably be another low point tho. But oh well. All female leads is unprecedented for the genre so I'm not gonna put a pox on it.

Most of what sucked about Suicide Squad seems to have been post-production.

Let them man have a chance to make the movie and not wreck it with editing.

Uh no, a lot was also design decisions and the script. Wish they had a talented writer and Snyder's designers continued to design the rest of the universe.
