I guess it's cool that we get to see new types of armor instead of just reading about it and one could argue that a Sniper should have a different type of armor than a CQB specialist or Infiltrator, but the truth is that as soldiers they would need to look the same. It's a very effective form of psychological warfare when the enemy can't really tell your soldiers apart.

Also, as others have pointed out, I liked that Spartans were able to tell who everybody was just by the way they moved, and "outsiders" weren't able to.

Yeah, it kinda reminded me of Persian Immortals (who coincidentally fought Sparta) how they were indistinguishable to the untrained eye.

And hopefully they'll fix that in future prints haha.

Wow, say what you will about 343 and Halo 4 but H5 is turning out to be the sequel to ODST, Reach, the mainline Halo games and a proper infusion of characters in the lore. The campaign will be awesome. 343i must be applauded for their effort to keep a cohesive universe and story between the games and the expanded universe. Something Bungie took for granted attimes (I am still salty about the changes made for Halo Reach).

I don't think we'll ever see Chiefs face, we all have our own idea of what he looks like, someone's bound to be disappointed. I think keeping him hidden makes him more interesting, like Batman for the people of Gotham he's a symbol and like the Stig it's part of his persona. There's nothing to gain from seeing his face. But if we do, it better look grizzled and mustached. I imagine him to look like a mix of Max Payne in 3, and Sully in Uncharted.

If you look closely, he's using the iron sights. Plus the DMR has a lot of stopping power, so it would make sense if you wanted to get someone off their balance up close before bludgeoning them.

Probably better depth perception, range-finding, different spectrums, higher magnifications. She is the designated sniper, so it'd make sense to give her as many tools as possible.

Halo 4 was always going to be a tough 'transition' game for 343 -I'm really hoping they can fix the missteps in Halo 4 but deliver on their stated integrate the lore into the game much much more cohesively.

Halo 5 campaign has the potential to be the best - or the worst if they mess it up.

I have faith though.
