That armor on the left is sick as hell. Man, I'm really liking the armor on Halo 5.

Also is there an updated picture with the chief's chest piece?

If we end up getting these armors plus others like the Athlon, etc. in multiplayer, then color me tickled pink. While I'm not a huge fan of the loadouts and such from 4, I loved having my own distinctive Spartan in-canon.

The big question is if we'll see everyone without their helmets on.

It's time.

The people that have read the books already kind of know what Chief and the rest of Blue Team look like. I don't imagine that people that don't read the books are *dying* to know what Chief looks like.

I honestly won't care either way; but if they remove the helmets there better be a good reason to do so other than just to show their faces.

edit: oh, right, I remember those videos for Kelly and Fred in the pelican.

Is that a stolen illegal scan? Looks like it. Might want to take it down.

Scans. Self-advertisement. Anyone want to share their Halo podcast? Now's the time.

I don't think we'll see chiefs face even if it was hinted at the ending of halo 5. We'll definitely see the likes of fred and kelly without there helmets though.

Kelly:

This was when they were like, what, 15? I wonder what they'd look like now. I kinda like the idea of II class not showing their faces.

Well, we've already seen Kelly and Fred.

Better to leave the Chief's helmet on, IMO.

We've already seen blue team without their helmets quite a few times

Oh, yea I remember them from FUD but I just meant in-game, as adults. Hope we do. I know seeing the Chief's face is a divisive prospect among fans but it wouldn't affect his persona to me. I'm ready to see the guy.

I just want to see how the Chief treats them too. I know he barely batted an eye to the Spartan IV's, it'll be great to see him treating Blue team with respect.

I have a continual internal debate over whether I want to see Cheifs face. Everyone else, sure...Him, I dunno. It's kind of the V for Vendetta thing. The idea is important, not the man.

And yes I know we saw bits of it in the end of Halo 4 and some of his eyeball in Escalation. Kind of hoping that's all we see.

Remember when Spartans and suits were designed so you couldn't tell them apart?

Good times.[/QUOTE]

I mean, the whole thing was that they could tell each other apart just by how they moved. Same thing with Halsey - she just knew.

Holy hell that's quite the ass they put on Linda. Yikes at that art.

That, and the stupid role mixup (Kelly the sniper? Come on) makes me cringe every time. But I have no problem with the faces, they look ok.

Every Spartan II should have about the same build regardless of gender, imo.

I liked them all looking the same, or at least mostly the same, maybe small changes or something.

Now it seems a little overboard, but oh well.

Early on it was just a case of when you're testing new equipment, it's standardized. The R&D on Reach was barely past this point before it was "glassed." When you get more generations of (mostly) compatible gear, it gets mixed and matched for different purposes. That's even before personalization comes into play.

I've gotta admit, I liked when it was more "special future tech" and less "the whole military casually uses this stuff."

Far less interesting times.

I guess it's cool that we get to see new types of armor instead of just reading about it and one could argue that a Sniper should have a different type of armor than a CQB specialist or Infiltrator, but the truth is that as soldiers they would need to look the same. It's a very effective form of psychological warfare when the enemy can't really tell your soldiers apart.

Also, as others have pointed out, I liked that Spartans were able to tell who everybody was just by the way they moved, and "outsiders" weren't able to.

Oy vey, I didn't even notice that. :/ Jesus fuck 343i, who oversees this shit? I'm glad I only read about the comics on Wikipedia.
