Sony and Facebook need to get up on this. I wish all my PS4 shares on Facebook looked like this...
The Legend is back !!!
ITSHAPPENING.WEBM
WebP is only supported in Webkit browsers like Chrome and Opera at the moment. Until the other browsers have completed their implementation, I don't think it can be used as a replacement. We really should just use .WebP instead.
2.7 times file size reduction when compared to .GIF - not as much as .WebP, but there's no sound, works on <img> tags and doesn't burn your cpu to a crisp: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=107290472&postcount=289
I wish 4chan allowed support for those instead.
Edit: I don't think WebP allows for 60fps, so WebM for those would be ok.

Nice work, One suggestion: it would be nice to have an option to hide the FF media controls by default on all embedded webms. You normally don't need video controls for the gif use case, and when you do you can still unhide them.WebM for NeoGAF FireFox Addon 0.3

It's not like Chrome isn't available everywhere.
If you want a new image format, ask the Chrome people why they don't support APNG.We shouldn't use IMG tags at all because Lynx users can't see them.

Sony, please, make the Share button share in this format
