I was planning on doing a Firefox port but someone took the name...
Damn, Uncharted looks so weird at 60FPS. The animation for whatever reason looks worse than in actual game, probably because you can see every tiniest flaw in it.reposting - I hope this will work, the older version was working fow fer hours and then stopped, no idea why.
So here it is again - 60fps Uncharted glory.

Will this make some gaffers realize how great high framerates are for videogames?

GAF is known for their E3 gifs. This will change everything.
However... I do wonder about the impact on people who don't know to install the add-ons for this. If I were to hop into an E3 thread and all I saw were just links and not actual videos, some of the impact would be lost.
What makes it better than embedded, autoplaying mp4, which has much better browser support? It seems weird that this is suddenly a thing.
Every modern browser already supports HTML5. All browsers that support the HTML5 media tag and the webm codec can play these out of the box.I'd assume it would work like normal gif/youtube/video embedding, a server-side script or whatnot, that auto embeds them with the wrap:
[WEBM]webmhere[/WEBM] or something
And you could customize playback options/settings in your User CP
So long as your browser/device supports it, it would work.
Forgive me if im misled, I know little about web/html and the like.
GAF just has to allow it now.
Youtube soon adds 60fps option to "compete". Calling it now.
MP4 would be much preferred by me, but I can settle for WebM if that's whats gonna become Gaf standard.
Who is this?
WebM for NeoGAF (Chrome) 1.5
- Now works with posts added by D4Danger's Live Reload extension (version 2.1+ required, which he's uploading now, so sit tight!)

Was honestly waiting to see what you would do with this. Welcome to the party bro!
Sorry your gif thread may get ignored now though

Edit: Test 2 was a failure! Boo!
Whatever, if it's properly adopted, I'm glad to see GIFs get usurped. It's been a long time coming!

Just as a PSA, the 2014 Game GIF Thread is now accepting WebM videos as an alternative. Come check it out, there's some great stuff there from Gaffers all around.
