Halo 3 was impossible to combat. Period. Microsoft is hyping the game since too much time and the fanbase was much more excited.

This doesn't mean that they've done great job. Metroid Prime II Corruption's performance is awful for its quality. And no: I'm not tired to repeat it.

I almost think that Nintendo was trying to beat the 360 this month and shifted units accordingly to the US from Japan. Crazy theory, I know, but it does sound plausible.

Bioshock kinda fell off. Not bad though. About 700k. Everyone though it would bomba.

No, I think we can pretty much say that for this month Halo 3 had a pretty significant impact on 360 sales. What did 360 sell last month... half that?

When a system sells 250k more over the previous month because of one game - that is significant.

And if it drops back down to normal levels and Halo 3 falls off the top 10? No one can say if Halo 3 has spent its load or still has more juice left in it to propel sales.

Those Wii software numbers suck. How can system consistenly sell 400k-500k and it's biggest selling title is Wii Play. I'm sure Corruption did well, but for a console pushing half a mil a month thats low.

You do have to consider that it's perfectly clear by now that Wii Sports is why most people in America are buying the Wii.

What's incredible is that Wii is NOT showing the slow down of Japan and Super Mario Galaxy is coming and it will destroy everything in that month. And what matters, it will have GIANT legs.

expect it to sell like all wii software. no where near as good as you think. evetytime another hit wii ttitle comes out its the same thing.

But don't forget that MS lost Bungie (kinda-sorta), Bioware, and Bizzare recently. MS's future isn't perfect either.

I don't think that matters. Sony has done a butthole job marketing this game, as with every damned PS3 game. In terms of software sales, Sony deserves the failure. Hardware, on the other hand...

Typically a "hardcore gamer" who has an HDTV would have both XBOX 360 and a PS3 under the TV, so odds are that when XBOX 360 has a hot selling game, it pulls sales away from the PS3. Expect a simlar thing if the PS3 has a killer FPS game to come along.

I think it will sell very well, Wii owners dont buy too many games but MArio is a recognised franchise known by all

In my opinion, those Halo 3 numbers are just ridiculous. In a perfect world, Bioshock sells over 3 million. Because it deserves it. I can't take anything away form Halo 3, because those are some insane numbers.
