With the 10% off code this weekend, thinking of getting one of the following:

Soldner X-2
Damascus Gear
Wipeout 2048 DLC
Wild Arms XF

Basically Damascus Gear is the unknown quantity here, but also the one that appeals to me the most conceptually. I've heard complaints, but as long as it's not so broken that you can't S-rank missions, I think I'm up for it.

definite YES to Soldner X-2

I'll probably be the only one to suggest it, but I'd get Wipeout 2048 DLC. Chances are the price will never go down, 10% off code is a very good way to get it cheaper than it usually is.

Oh right forgot about that 10% off code.. hm. Don't think I'll be getting anything this time. Have yet to finish the last game I bought with the previous 10% off lol. (Ayesha+)

I thought Damascus Gear was terrible. Here I am playing it:

Monster Hunter doesn't really have a story worth paying attention to, especially not before 4. The game however gets stronger and stronger as it goes along. Better rewards, tougher fights. The way they power up monsters in high and G rank especially is genius. Not just more HP and more damage out but faster, smarter, less predictable, multiple extra attacks.

As I see it a lot of people that play games seems to constantly look for "the holy grale" (that one game that they can play forever), I am not one of those people and that is ok.

I have enjoyed batman on the vita and I found both freedom wars and soul sacrifice to be a really good first try at something new for the hunting genre. I also bought the order 1886 bundle and liked the game. right now I am having a lot of fun with Knack through remote play.

Are these the best games I have ever played, of course not but as with movies I sometimes like to watch drama and other times I'd like to sit down and watch an action movie or a really stupid comedy.

I enjoy most games, this is because I know that I won't be playing my last game for a long time and the best games are the ones that I haven't played yet :)

Sorry to hear that, I hope everything goes back to normal soon, at least until Operation Abyss is out.

Operation Abyss is pre-paid with Amazon credit alongside Uncharted 4. So I'm good for those two come hell or high water.

La-Mulana is in cart - what else should I get to fully use the 10% off? :/

Oreshika.
Gladiator Begins.
Frozen Synapse.
TxK.

I read your words, then I watch you in a mech destroying other mechs and all I can think is 'must. have. this.'.

Soldner X-2 is excellent.
Wipeout 2048 dlc is a great idea, assuming you like Wipeout.
I have yet to play WAXF -- it's in my backlog though, and i've heard really god things about it.

In other news, Bloodborne is mine. Continuing my week of unintended expenses, I couldn't find my giftcard that should have covered it, so ended up spending $60 I shouldn't have. But whatever. it's mf'ing Bloodborne, and I'm a Souls fanatic.... I should already have owned it.

Add me to the March NPD because I just bought a PS4 ^__^ Got Type-0 and DA:Inquisition ready to go. Still waiting on Bloodborne in the mail >__>

Remote play here I come~~~

Wipeout 2048 will forever be my favorite racing game on the Vita, by far.
Mine toó but the dlc make it the best Wipeout ever.
Damascus gear is by far much better than i expected. There is some exaggerated bad reviews about the game . But its actually a very good mecha hack and slash. More important than that is that is a fun game.

The one thing that makes me hesitate here is that Wipeout 2048 is stressful to play for me, and I'm terrible at it. I don't think anyone should be playing this badly at this point - I have 921 laps logged, with 0% perfect laps (I know for a fact that there was only one perfect, ever).

I have heard that the Wipeout HD DLC is much easier, which would be a very good reason to get it and play that instead.

HD and fury are easier for sure and looks great on the vita screen also the campaigns are full with different zone tipes and everything. Fury is more of a battle oriented campaign. HD is more like the pure and pulse games. So the variety is great. I highly recommend getting the dlc, is like getting 2 new wipeouts and add them to the 2048 campaign. You will enjoy very much HD the only detail I don't like is having the same music for all 3 games but wipeout 2048 has a very good ost anyway.

Axiom Verge really got me. Too bad I don't own a PS4 right now.

I like to see an Easter sale with BoI rebirth included. Just for the extreme LOLs.

Good to know, thanks. Plus I just realized that I'm completely bogged down with ship unlocks since single-player doesn't give enough XP to unlock everything. It will be good to not have to worry about that.

I'm actually planning to get the physical game to replace my PS+ copy. Has anyone ever tried manually copying a game save from a backup of a digital game to a backup of a physical copy of the same game?

Are you streaming something at the same time? Like netflix? I have never waited that long for a download.
No, I did not do any streaming and had no downloads going on.

The issue is that they cap downloads at 4MB/s and their servers are only good for that speed; they need to upgrade their service to a few times its current capacity if they want to cap it at 4 as you have to adjust for high traffic.

Even if you maxed out the PSN's downspeed (~4096KB/s), you're still going to have to wait around 2h and 10 minutes, so 20 hours isn't a far stretch as it means you're downloading at 400KB/s or so.
400kb/s is very dissapointing on a PS4 connected with ethernet to a 100mb/s internet connection. I did test my download speed and found no problems there. So the problem lies with Sonys shitty servers.

I won't be waiting for the Vita version. I'm just so excited for that game that I will be playing it through remote play, as if it was on the Vita already. Tuesday couldn't come any sooner...

Hmm, the releases of Bloodborne and Type-0 are really making me giddy to buy a PS4... then I remember due to some serious money issues I had to sell my PS3 and that because of the shit ton of JRPG released on it and MGS4 I must also buy a PS3.
I think I will faint.

WipeOut makes me rage while playing it. It is a pretty nice game but hard.

I just can't do the top speed class, I'm usually fine in everything else. Nothing beats the sound of "Contender eliminated." Ugh Sony have to find a way to make Wipeout PS4 happen. Even just a Wipeout HD/2048 port

Hmm, is there a good Dynasty / Samurai / Whatever Warriors game on Vita ? Or should I really wait for a PS3 or PS4 to discover the genre ?

I have no choice, I only have a Vita right now...

What's sad is I'm the one who always get shafted hahaha... Its a stressful but satisfying game to play. RIP Studio Liverpool T_T

I've only played DW8XL and SW4 but all I can say is avoid DW8XL for the Vita. It is the worst performing portable dynasty title.

The Amiga Brotherhood
Damn all this talk about Bloodborne is making me want to play it, apparently if there's something that can sell me on a game is a threads about custom characters lol.

I have no PS4 and i don't have the intention to buy one, at least for now, but i still want to scratch that From itch, so i was thinking of dusting off the PS3 and buying Dark Souls...
Is there any chance for DS to be part of April's PS+?

Damn playing on home console pisses me SO much, why there's nothing similar on Vita? :\

I'll try to test it later but I'm fairly sure I get far better speeds on a much worse internet connection. I suppose it could be a regional issue, but couldn't something else be at fault? I'm not an expert on networks, but something just seems off there.

I played the living daylights out of Dynasty Warriors Next and loved it. There's some unnecessary touch minigames, but they didn't get in the way too much. It wasn't as well received (in part due to touch battles), but that didn't stop me from having a blast.

I'm currently playing Warriors Orichi 3 (alongside Oreshika and Bloodborne). It's also really good. A bit less tactical (you insta-switch with other captains, but aren't sending them out to take bases independently). i'm not as obsessed as i was with DWN, though. maybe that'll come with time. i do like the overall conceit of the game, though (changing history and rescuing teammates from dead timelimes).

Are OTs release date or day before now? I'm doing the Axiom Verge one, it'd be kind of nice to not worry about it until monday night.

I was just going to buy bloodborne (EU) in the PS4 store and it gives an error saying that the content can not be selected at this time. :(

Yep you're not alone. Looks like something's gone wrong as Sony are tweeting everything is up and running but Twitter is full of people unable to access content in the store

From Software believes Vita would be a poor choice for a Souls game because it's not a networked device. Yeah. Almost as bad as citing poor eyesight and resolution differences.

Haven't played a Baseball game in ages.
Been curious about MLB but will never dare to buy it in fear of Sony pulling the online down.

The PS4 ones should be pretty safe, but yeah that Vita shutdown =/. I wish they'd at least have P2P fallbacks for that kind of situation. You can still play Unreal Tournament to this day. Dedicated servers ain't all sunshine and flowers.

There is no chance for Dark Souls to be part of April's PS+ because there's no digital version of the game on PSN at all. Only Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 2. So if you want to play the first game you're safe, but will also have to find a physical copy. I'll warn you now, if you play DkS 1 on PS3, when you get to the bottom of Blighttown or Anor Londo ruins, you will have to deal with 15 FPS slideshows. Every other part of the game runs fine, just be ready for those two areas and don't think the whole game will be that bad hah.
