I thought it was that they didn't pay for the CD license?
AFAIK the PS4 drive hardware is literally not capable of reading CD-ROMS. PS1 discs and audio CDs will never be supported.
I've looked at the PS4 data sheets many times and never saw the CD laser listed, where did you get that from? Also really curious what the *3 footnote references.
*3 CDs cannot be played.

It's there.I thought Text to speech was coming in this update. Can't find it in Accesibility settings.Saw
a screenshot where it was above the zoom option but it isn't there for me
It's there.
What's your system language? There's a note on Text to Speech that it only works when the system is set to English (US), maybe the option doesn't appear when the system is set to another language.
I don't really understand why 'Enter Rest Mode' is listed twice in the Quick Menu, once in the top level and once under 'Power Options'. I wondered for a second if it were two different Rest Modes configurations (maybe one with Suspend/Resume off).
Played about 1.5 hours of Bloodborne online after the update and didn't experience any problems.I'm afraid to go online right now but I would like some bloodborn.
Any know issues with the download or the firmware itself?
Why cant we still turn off the DS4 light? i dont have a camera let me save as much battery as i can damn it
Wouldn't have any way to indicate that it was on at all.
Well it wouldn't work when you tried to use it, so I'd hope people are smart enough to figure out it's turned off. Also, Sony forces a damn notification on your TV to let you know it turned off. Gee thanks. Don't think I could figure that out. What would I ever do without that forced notification popping up while I watch Netflix?
It's more that you wouldn't know if it was left on, draining the battery while not in use.
Soon enough a lot of PS4 users are going to wonder how they went without this feature for so longTried Suspend/Resume on Blodborne.
Faster to boot up from sleep than in Bloodborne's own in-game loading screens.

That would be awful for the phantom pain. You can set it to turn off after 10 mins of inactivity.
Is there an option you need to enable for 60fps remote play? I can't see one.
Go to the settings in the vita for the ps4 link.
Is SharePlay broken? It's saying that my 40mbps download speed and 4mbps upload speed is not fast enough for SharePlay. What the heck? That should be more than enough. I actually have a 100mbps, but the PS4 throttles the connection anyway.
Also, what does the drop shadow option for text do? I tested it out and didn't notice any difference.
Is there a way you can turn off automatic trophy screenshots?
How do I set up external hdd?just plug it in?
Update woes/PSA...
If you already updated your PS4 to 2.50 and are trying to install a brand new HDD.. don't bother yet.. sony hasn't updated the new system installation file (it's supposed to be 700+ MB, not the 300 MB file). Because of this the PS4 expects a 2.50 system install file which sony hasn't provided yet in their firmware page... it's still displaying the old file.
I wasted 2 hours figuring this out.. only to find it wasn't my fault and it wasn't a bad HDD.
You can only use External HDD to do a whole internal HDD backup/restore.

I've rarely used it on XB1, but it came in handy one time when I was playing Forza 5 and I had to leave, but I didn't want to start the race over later. I put the Xbox One in suspend and shut it down, and came back later and picked right back up where I left it. It was pretty awesome.
