Reddit troll apologizes for trump CNN gif/all those racist remarks

What's weird is that his apology was apparently removed on reddit. Maybe that's the kind of post that crosses the line on Trumps subreddit

Removed and thread locked, with several posters telling him to stop apologizing.

Anything that isn't worshipping trump and demonizing the left and media is shut down immediately in /r/the_donald.

Even neutral topics like "hey maybe we should talk about this climate change thing?" is met with responses like "FUCK OFF SHILL".

And they have the gall to claim they're not a cult. It's absolutely insane.

Were these assholes always racist shitheads or did something change that drew them to being neo nazis?

Would like to talk to some gamergaters to find out how they became the ugly internet monsters they are today.

The former. BLM really showed that a lot of white Americans are still racist as hell. They just don't feel like they have to hide it anymore.

They are insecure and they want to feel big, but without any tangible accomplishments all they have are their skin color and gender.
This too, they are mediocre and cowardly as shit.

I've legitimately met a gamergater irl. Dude was the most repulsive human being i've ever met. From his body odor, his beliefs that feminine and blm are bullshit, and the fact that he stated that the gaming industry will collapse upon itself if they hire too many women. Fuuuuccckkkkkkk gamergaters. His justification was that he was bullied in high school by jocks.

Well at least he didn't double down but I truly wonder if the apologize was genuine or if he is trying to cover his ass.

We really shouldn't be surprised. The Civil Rights acts were only signed like 50 years ago. School desegregation didn't end until the 90s in some areas. Interracial marriage was basically illegal until the late 60s. I feel like some young progressives think all the racists just evaporated after Woodstock, when they just slithered into other, quieter parts of society until they could regain a foothold.

Civil Rights groups and their liberal allies were pretty effective at turning "racist" and "sexist" into dirty words with legit social stigma, but pushing those attitudes out of polite society really only let them fester on the fringes. Now these people think that their terrible attitudes constitute "oppression," and they stumbled into a viable strategy of capitalizing on Americans' distrust of government to rally against "political correctness."

I guess it's comforting that we can still shame some of these shit-heads in the real world.

Cover his own ass. The Trump v CNN gif is literally days old. Trump's agenda was "entertaining" and worth worship and celebration when people were on the razor's edge of being pitched into financial and health nightmares and families were being split apart. Hell, I'm ashamed for using "are" when it's still happening. This is without mentioning the months the Reddit user spent being racist and antisemitic on the subreddit and beyond, sharing space with similarly bigoted, and several times, violent fellow posters.

I don't consider myself to be close minded for being hesitant to buy into the idea that the 100% repented only after becoming a national subject. He had good fun in hurting people and supporting others who hurt people through their rhetoric before but this was a step too far? I highly doubt it.

No lies detected.

I wonder if his real name has gotten out and he was contacted by journalists. If so, we will know soon.

Typical that r/t_d would delete his apology. The champions of free speech and anti-snowflakeism can't handle any self-awareness of how shitty their behavior is, regardless of the sincerity behind the message.

That is interesting to hear about meeting the gamergater IRL. Even more his justification for being bullied leading to him being a scumbag and online bully.

As someone who was also bulled I find the idea that bullying leads to becoming a gamergater to be a crock of shit. Truth is, he just wanted to get a rise out of people because he contributed absolutely nothing of value to the world, not with his presence, not with his shit art, not with anything. Anyway, title changed to reflect the update.

"I never knew my shitty meme in an attempt to amuse and impress a congregation of racist bigoted assholes actually leaned into their shitty beliefs! I'm soooorrryyyy!"

t_d is one of the most heavily deleted subreddits. It's one of the reasons they got ran off from voat, because voat has public delete logs and you could see all the posts and comments they were deleting

Hold on.

This. Threatening black children and muslims gets no sympathy from me, as well as creating shitty images like the one where he pointed out every Jewish person that works at CNN.
Hold on.

The Donald could literally be considered a cult. They delete EVERYTHING that doesn't comply with the idea that's Trump is a god among men.

So when does HanDickheadSolo show up posting about (((Globalists)))?
I thought they stopped using dog whistles?

Don't they just come out and say Jews now?

I won't say that its never been a better time to be a racist, but this might be the best time to be a racist in a long ass time.

WH actually claimed they didn't get the gif off Reddit. They didn't say where they did get it from which made it that much more believable lol.

When we get any kind of real read of how many of these people are out there, just the view of what is really going on and how many are in this hate filled gutter... it's going to be bone chilling.

What happened to him to go from King of the Donald to apologizing and saying it was all just mentally ill trolling?

Can someone post a transcript of the apology? I know there is a picture but ii seems brokwn to me as sentences seem to end abruptly and then continue in the middle of a.different sentence.

Whether it's a sincere apology or not, this random reddit troll addressed the situation more presidential than Trump.

What's more likely, he was just pretending to be a racist every day for over a year or he was a racist and someone figured out his real life identity causing him to fear for his job and livelihood?

My fellow redditors, First of all, I would like to apologize to the members of the reddit community for getting this site and this sub embroiled in a controversy that should never have happened. I would also like to apologize for the posts made that were racist, bigoted, and anti-semitic. I am in no way this kind of person, I love and accept people of all walks of life and have done so for my entire life. I am not the person that the media portrays me to be in real life, I was trolling and posting things to get a reaction from the subs on reddit and never meant any of the hateful things I said in those posts. I would never support any kind of violence or actions against others simply for what they believe in, their religion, or the lifestyle they choose to have. Nor would I carry out any violence against anyone based upon that or support anyone who did. As time went on it became an addiction as to how far it could go with the posts that were made. This has been an extreme wake up call to always consider how others may think or feel about what is being said before clicking the submit button anywhere online that an opinion is allowed. Free speech is a right we all have, but it shouldn’t be used in the manner that it was in the posts that were put on this site. Just because you are behind a keyboard doesn’t mean you can’t hurt someone with your words or cause a situation such as this one where a simple meme is misconstrued as calling for violence. I do not advocate violence against the press and the meme I posted was in no way advocating that in any way, shape or form. Our first amendment protects the press from things like violence, and we as American citizens should respect that even if the opinions of the press are not in line with our own. The meme was created purely as satire, it was not meant to be a call to violence against CNN or any other news affiliation. I had no idea anyone would take it and put sound to it and then have it put up on the President’s Twitter feed. It was a prank, nothing more. What the President’s feed showed was not the original post that was posted here, but loaded up somewhere else and sound added to it then sent out on Twitter. I thought it was the original post that was made and that is why I took credit for it. I have the highest respect for the journalist community and they put their lives on the line every day with the jobs that they do in reporting the news. The Internet and social media is capable of many great things, and this is an example of the not so great things that it can do. Trolling to get a reaction out of people is not the best way to make a point, the way to do it is to present your facts in a manner to convey the message that will not invoke anger. To people who troll on the Internet for fun, consider your words and actions conveyed in your message and who it might upset or anger. Put yourself in their shoes before you post it. If you have a problem with trolling it is an addiction just like any other addiction someone can have to something and don’t be embarrassed to ask for help. Trolling is nothing more than bullying a wide audience. Don’t feed your own self-worth based upon inflicting suffering upon others online just because you are behind a keyboard. We as redditors and as Americans are better than this. So to the members of this community, the site, the media (especially CNN), and anyone offended by the posts, again I apologize. This is one individual that you will not see posting hurtful or hateful things in jest online. This is my last post from this account and I wanted to do it on a positive note and hopefully it will heal the controversy that this all caused. You know, I have to admit. I assumed the worst of this guy, but the post actually does read like he's realized the gravity of his mistakes. At the very least, the apology is good enough to make me doubt that his purpose was actively malicious.

Though that makes him seem like someone on 4chan; some dumb kid who just thinks memes are funny and hasn't really thought about their effects. Can you really be like that on The Donald? It's a political forum. I would think that you'd have to be aware that there are people there who possess a serious interest in the subjects discussed.

At what point does Reddit have to take responsibility for allowing this bullshit in the first place?

Isn't Reddit the site that only took down the child pornography rings it hosted due to legal threats?

That's quite a flowery and verbose apology; is he anticipating legal problems of some kind?
