Last year I posted my new game room.
This year, I don't have something new like that but I did put a few more games on the game room.

The link to the last year's post is here.

This is how the game room looks now:

I'm a 27 year old male looking to be adopted, I don't take much space and I'm always quiet.

But seriously that's an awesome set up!

Hey there buddy, need a roommate? I'm available and ready to move to wherever the heck on the globe you're at! ;)

In all seriousness though that is one wicked sweet setup. All my stuff is mostly shoved onto a couple shelves in the basement. >>

I've spilled my gentleman's relish.

Thanks guys!

Do you have one of those bookcase ladders you see in the movies?

No, I don't. I use a regular ladder. The original idea was to use bookcase/library ladders but even one year later I still haven't bougtht it yet.

I like this. I'm a massive fan of clean-looking spaces, and this is one heck of a clean space. Extremely tasteful.

o.o

how is that Wii U gamepad connected?

Unfortunately it's not. I hate having visible cables/wires, so the dock is not plugged in. If/when the gamepad runs out I take out the adapter and plug it into the wallplug that's right next to my couch.

Holy shit dude. Not one spec of dust. How? Lol

Nice setup btw

I have finally got around to showing my setup. It's a fairly small room so not easy to take good pics. 'Just' have the PC at the moment but room for new goodies as and when they arrive!

Custom 'AV Unit' designed and built by myself!

Not the best quality, sorry :(

The PC runs a fair bit hotter in it's new cubbyhole but she's fully water cooled so it's all good!

Now that's style. Especially the first shot, slick.

I will continue to post updates as I get stuff tidied up. Any and all comments are welcome.

Love what you're doing here - your place has a lot of character. It's also not drowning in a sea of video game cases and tat, and it's not going overboard with sterile white everything either.

I also own the Lo Pan Funko Reaction figure. Great minds and all that...

I've always been curious how people living in highrises deal with sound, home theaters and annoying their neighbors. Honestly one of the reasons I bought my first and 2nd house was to be separated from people and not have to deal with turning off my subwoofer. Do you just run without a sub or do you have agreements with the neighbors?

You have great taste in music, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has the best soundtrack in the game.

Thank you good sirs!

Sadly that is not true....this condo and its air system is brutal when it comes to dust.

I de-dusted everything before i took pictures, but even so if you take a look at the picture with controllers close up you will see dust on the surface of the table.

This definitely can be an issue.

I have few things covering my ass in regards to that:

1. Indeed i do not run a sub in this set up (bass that comes from these paradigm speakers is insane on its own), as result i don't get one point of potent bass pounding the ceiling for my neighbors downstairs.

2. Each of the five speakers have powerful bass on its own, so i get 5 moderate sources of bass vs one that has to work overtime.

3. This condo is brand brand brand new...like paint barely dried...and it has pretty solid sound isolation despite being a glass box.

4. I live in an entertainment district of downtown Toronto, right next to clubs, TV stations and all kind sources of noise and siren...its noisy as fuck here. Plus all my neighbors are chill and kind of party animals (on intermediate basis)...so every one makes noise every now and then but we all kind of understand each other and cool with each other..

I truly got noise complaint only once...and that was due to the fact that i was walking out guests downstairs while my other guests cranked up the sound system really really loud at 12am.

Thanks man! I really like mid-century stuff, and its appropriate for the house.

My goal was to create a place like you see in the mid century decorating books or the tv shows i grew up watching. Then, to have a pretty cool space to play games in. I am a huge dork at the end of the day, but i still am trying to beat the guts out of every single mother in Dallas, so I have to keep it classy.

I am just putting the final touches to mine at the moment (i need to replace some HDMI cables as it wasn't able to output 4k at 60FPS). There are speakers all around the room with two in the ceiling for 7.2.2. Atmos sound.

75" 4k tv.

This is the back row with two recliners. The statue is Kerrigan from Starcraft

Borderlands sirens poster and Portal 2 poster - both framed with non reflective glass.

The lights change colour

Sideshow Arthas statue from warcraft behind non reflective glass in a similar style to the posters.

My AV equipment.

Behind the false wall that the TV is on (computer is on the other side)

The riser step that the back row sits on. There are two usb ports that link to my PC and PS4 for lego dimensions and mouse/keyboard when gaming.

Frostmourne sword from warcraft

my bar :D

when can I come over?

Thank you good sirs!

I dig your simple ans clean approach to furnishing.

Nice and efficent.

I bet mkving these furniture will be real easy.

I see some sweet sweet gaming set up here.

Here is what i got going right now,

Living Room:
As soon as I saw the skyline I recognized it all. If the CNN tower didn't give it away all those buildings from the financial district would.

I love your setup and hope I can build something as nifty as yours when I get the keys to my condo (2020).

Might I ask how you is it running that astroturf on your balcony. I've only seen that stuff in indoor soccer fields and was wondering if it is comfy on the balcony.

The Nintendo Powers and game boxarts are my own scans from my own collection I had since i was a kid :D

I scanned and retouched them to print out for frames. Currently trying to enlarge/retouch the original Castlevania boxart to poster size 36" tall. Taking me a good long while, for sure. Little by little though and I'll have it printed and framed in a few months.

Totally amazing! But what have you done with your power cables? I've tried several solutions to hide them but also make the sockets accessible but I've never done anything I'm happy with. I've got a 6-way surge protected power adapter and then three 6-way adapters coming off it. Those are in them boxes you can get that make them look tidy.

Isn't that a PS4 dev kit to the left? Are you a developer?

Oh this work station is my jam, it's very much how I do my set ups from efficiency and comfort point of view!

I've been creeping this thread for years and thought now would be as good a time as ever to post. I spent all weekend cleaning, reorganizing my room and putting together a new bed - although now everything doesn't even look clean in these photos, ugh.

Here's my computer desk, I work from home alot so it's my PC gaming set-up and my home office haha. My rig is packing an i5 4690k, with a Gigabyte 970 and 16GB of ram. I built it last year and it's still going strong. My trusty Kindle is also on the desk, and my Sennheiser HD 598's on the monitor. I have a Kingston Hyper X headset for gaming not shown.

In case anyone was wondering, the board behind the monitors is a cork board of random things - mostly concert tickets. It's been full for about 2 years though and any new tickets/thing have been going in a box so I plan take it all and turn it into a coffee table scrap book.

Also the locker to the left can display 6 CDs, it's from ikea and I love it - I switch the CDs in it all the time.

edit: I didn't realize how banged up my desk was :(

Directly to the right of my desk is my TV and console set-up. Cable management is so difficult for me, I've hidden everything the best I could. Got a 51" Samsung plasma panel a few years ago and I still love it. Also got my PS4, Xbox One and Wii U there. I have a very beat up 5.1 system that is now a 3.1 system because 2 speakers broke (new audio is my next project.) I also decided to show off my TES+ and TE2 arcade sticks in the pic but they're usually stashed away. All my retro Nintendo, Sega, Playstation and Xbox consoles are tucked away in the closet, and so are the games.

Here's my very modest collection of Blu Rays, and physical current gen games. Also showing off my new n3DS which I love.

XBz27LV.jpg

Also my collection of Amiibos. I have no idea how it got to be this large, it was supposed toonly be my 'favourite' characters, ha.

Please forgive the image quality, struggled quiet a bit with it all.

They are all hidden in the back in one big birds nest!

But yeah, the centre cupboards and shelves aren't as deep as those two end boxes and so there's a cavity at the back of them where the sockets and most of the cabling is. Behind are 2 double sockets, 2 6 way surge protectors, the TV ariel socket and internet / telephone socket. The top just lifts off to gain access to them or it can be screwed down solid if I want.

Then there's a circular hole in each of the 5 'areas' to bring the wires through to the various AV equipment.

Thanks dude! It has greatly increased my workflow when coding and debugging. Def a comfort and efficiency zone!
