I just want to say that steam gaf is one of the best places on the whole board. I really like the lack of bickering and true fans of games.

Glad to have found the community side of the board when I never really joined it much before. mostly because I play games and go to another game so its hard to stay in OT threads sometimes as well.

I like a lot of games and new news so I have to be all over.
Aw, those are some nice words. Makes the old heart all warm.
You just have to look around GAF to see how rabid some fanbases are about their exclusive games, and keeping them exclusive. This is robbing the poor Vita, which is a personal affront to those people.
I don't want to beleive this to be true. That there are people who think like that. Even if, they have to be minors.
Not sure if it's been posted yet but there's a new mod for Insurgency called "Day of Infamy", it's a WWII overhaul with new weapons, characters and a couple maps, it's really fun, I've played a few hours of it and I've had a great time. All you gotta do is download the Day of Infamy Mod from the Steam Workshop and the 2 extra maps which are linked in the mods description, and also set your Insurgency game to the beta branch.

Thanks duderino! Sounds fun.

I'll never going to catch up, will I?
I'm now more or less three years worth of releases behind (and these are games I wanna finish), some I haven't even started!

And with this many new releases I want to play, it seems hopeless. Still pretty happy about finally being able to play Danganronpa and so soon too!

I took short break from Trails to clean up some of games I planned or was playing, about 10 ended discarded to my NOPE folder, mostly ones I'll never get back to playing and I've played some new, short impressions follow

Chip's Challenge 1 is a nice game, creative take on sokoban, it has only one problem with keyboard controls, they aren't sensitive enough, for example if you try to stop at the certain spot, there is a good chance of Chip moving to next one and getting killed, what can be really annoying at times. Because of this, I plan to take it in smaller doses.

This game is interesting interpretation of Sudoku, I liked it more than I thought I will, good for short sessions also.

Left in the Dark: No One on Board is hidden object - point & click game which has very positive reviews, what I find strange now after beating it. Not that it is bad, but it isn't particularly good either, but it being short as it is, I finished it in one sit, so there is that.

I liked idea of such a game, changing gravity and place where blocks drop seemed like such a nice way to make an original game, unfortunately GravBlocks proved to be horrible, one of worst I've tried recently, from controls to design, it's just not worth it.

can't you ask jshackles to change your vote?

Don't think we could do that.

jshackles specifically said he isn't accepting new votes (revoting), it being manual work, I think you can understand why.
This reminds me I have to submit my votes, there is no time left anymore.

edited: BTW, do we know Danganronpa price?
just noticed no cards, we need to talk Spike Chunsoft into adding them.

Hey Veggie. You convinced me to dust off Alien: Isolation and finish it before getting back to Dangan's Dogpa. However...

I'm just that good.

I started this game Dec 2014 and stopped playing after a hair-pulling encounter with the alien. I swear I was going for a no killing humans run but I got the achievement for killing ten of them.

SteamGAF is actually helping me beat games, guys.

Who recommended Suits in here again? Damn random battles are annoying as shit >_<
And I'm getting a bad feeling that the game requires some fair grinding (I'm already getting through boss battles by the skin of my teeth and using lots of items after about an hour of playtime).

Random battles and grinding are like 2 death knells for any RPG for me.

k, that's pretty fair anyway

I could have told you that. In depth, even.

I hope that Capcom will fix the pawn system in Dragon's Dogma this week. I thought no one was liking my Scather/Mitigator Warrior pawn!

Anyway, I'm liking the game so far. I tried a fighter class at first, but decided to switch to Assassin and I'm doing much better now. Most of the work is done by my main pawn, though. I finally found a good combination of skills and she takes care of almost anything while I dodge around like a madwoman, trying not to get 1-shotted. I also found some great pawns from my friend list (and again, shame about the bugs, as the high rate and gifts were totally deserved).

The only thing that I actively dislike is the travel system. Yesterday I discovered one of those placeable portals at least. I hope it'll make things slightly faster...

Worth the purchase so far :D

goddamn what a feast to the eyes

It's so flashy, I can't keep it on screen for long, I have to scroll it out of the view or close the page. Seriously, pictures like this are calling for some kind of an ESRB rating or something. Not complaining, scrolling it out is easy enough... but the picture is definitely special.

Wait, seriously? Can somebody help me out? I only get the "Made Man DLC" with Mafia II - Deluxe Edition? I thought I would get all the DLC (not the jimmy piece)?

Can any of you guys recommend a free, easy-to-use program to keep track of how much I'm downloading/uploading on my computer? My daily usage has been kinda high lately, and I want to find out what it is in particular since I have a bandwidth cap.

Everyday I come here I feel like I'm getting farther and farther from the game being hyped.

There are several games being hyped in this thread all the times.
You mean to say you don't care about Danganronpa and Xcom2 and Dragon Dogma and Final Fantasy 9 and Oxenfree and Ori?
Maybe you don't like games anymore? just a thought

on more serious note, I'm not that much into hype myself, but sometimes it can't be helped.

basic shapes the game?

If you are on Windows 10, there are built-in tools (part of that is applicable to Windows 8.1):

Otherwise, I remember a free small app called DUMeter, but it was a long time ago. (Added later: checked, it no longer appears to be free, there are many other free meters, though, but since I haven't used any of them, don't know how good they are.)

I will probably buy Danganronpa when it releases, but I probably won't play it again. It was great, but I don't think I'm up for a second playthrough

It includes:
Mafia II: Digital Deluxe Edition includes four items: Made Man Pack (two classic luxury automobiles and two “made man” suits, including a vintage tuxedo), Digital Art Book (photo album-style about the design process of the game), Orchestral Soundtrack (recorded by the Prague FILMHarmonic Orchestra), and the Digital Map of Empire Bay.[30]

Apart from Made Man Pack you wont get any other dlcs

Mafia II: Extended Edition and Mafia II: Director's Cut is the one that has all the dlcs

You don't need to grind much in this game, since leveling up doesn't do much in terms of increasing your power, and equipment is not terribly expensive. Just make sure that you find the additional characters when they become available (the first character is
in the first office building, below the floor with the wife beater, IIRC
, and the second character
is a meatboy that wants soup, much later in the game, when you get to the kitchens
), and focus on upgrading their equipment, which actually makes a difference. The single-target staples attack that your second character has is also very important, since you can often keep tough enemies paralyzed while you pummel them, as is the second character's ability to poison and restore "mana".

Yeah, just found out. Oh well, if the Made Man DLC was exclusive to the Deluxe Edition then it's all fine. I just gotta find all of the other DLC individually. Thanks. :)

This pack is only available by purchasing the Mafia II: Collectors Edition for Xbox or PlayStation or the Mafia II: Digital Deluxe Edition for PC on Steam.
Yeah, it seems to be exclusive. Then all is fine. Still a little bummed I didn't get any of the other DLC but maybe next month.

The back cover of the SFV box has some interesting stuff. It seems to show one of the story cutscenes, along with Chun-Li in her Hong Kong Police outfit.

Hopefully they'll put her police outfit in the game. She's certainly arresting in it.

First the 'OlliOlli sequel' and now this it's like you're trying to bring pun-demonium to the Steam thread.

I do use Win10. Just checked it and my usage for the past 30 days is 50GB. Assuming it's correct, it's much lower than I though. Hope someone isn't leaching internet off of me. Though I'd like to double check this. I feel like the amount it shows me is a little too low.

They already added her over-head from this scene (is that move also in other SFs?), so hopefully they'll also add the costume in-game:

Hm, thanks that may help, I missed that first guy.

Oh, I abuse that one already. In the base game I would have dropped millions of coins into buying them. Thankfully I never played it on console.

Now I just need to use those purple portals and place them somewhere useful.

Enternal Ferrystone is a free and you can use it many times -.-

Ubisoft is promoting Stone Age open world game Far Cry Primal by inviting people to sleep in a cave in the middle of winter.

You can win the chance to do this, accompanied by a friend, by sending a tweet to @FarCryPrimal mentioning #cavebnb. You'll also need to explain exactly why it is you want to do this...

One lucky(?) winner will then travel to "an undisclosed location in France" for their night in the wilderness.

Bought it for the Vita 1 year ago. But never got over chapter 2.
This has 2 reasons:
1. I was really never a guy who could play a long time on handhelds when there is a PC available and my commute to work is a mixture of going on foot, waiting for bus and 10 minute busrides.
2. The gameplay actively shooed me away from the Story. i was overwhelmed from the different gameplay aspects and it was getting harder every trial.

so I watched a Let's Play ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Story is what interests me.
