50 mins till? Sony conference? I think the LG is 8am PST.

Here is the sked, 70 minutes until LG, I am sure the time countdown on YouTube is a pre-show from who is hosting it:

TCL - 11:00 - 11:45 AM PST | 2:00 - 2:45 PM EST
ASUS - 11:30 AM PST | 2:30 PM EST
Samsung - 2:00 - 2:45 PM PST | 5:00 - 5:45 PM EST
Intel - 4:00 - 4:45 PM PST | 7:00 - 7:45 PM EST

Thanks guys. Just converting to GMT now. I don't think my calculations allowed for daylight savings.

I'm really excited to see the difference between all the maker's OLEDs.

LG still has some short comings they need to overcome, and unfortunately they have been problems LG's had for awhile.

I doubt very much that there will be much difference between them when delivering high quality sources in a stage-managed demonstration. What will be more interesting to me, is how they handle the nuances of the technology, such as dealing with compressed feeds e.g. Netflix and how they look in home viewing conditions.

I'll be waiting till after launch anyway and seeing how things settle. Happy with my B6 until then.

The LG conference has successfully put milk on my echos shopping list and tried to purchase sparkling water and celery.

Yet two more HDR standards wtf!

It's getting ridiculous now.

It's funny, Dolby Vision isn't even picking up steam, this is the kind of crap that pisses customers off, so many standards, almost worth waiting for some to die.

That's impressive, but still not 1000 nits for HDR, I think. I'm more than happy with the HDR performance on my C6 though, so this will be even more impressive.

Yeah, the rumor was they'd reach 1000 nits this year. Doesn't seem so.

Yep, disappointing, I think that would be around 750ish nits? Making me glad I already bought my E6.

This OLED sounds like its gonna be just as expensive or more....I may need to see how their "nano cell" tech holds on out LCD but gah they are gonna be IPS panels it seems...booo!

The 7 series for 2017 almost look identical to the 2016 models?? Wow, they only did an iterative update. Wow.

Eh, the Wallpaper is the closer. That thing will cost $20,000, easy.

Disappointing showing if you were waiting for the 2017 OLEDs, not much difference, but 25% increase in peak brightness is nice.

Can't wait for the first post from someone complaining how their kid ripped the TV from its magnet strip and then ripped the TV in half.
