anyone know how to get more money? the green stuff?

I keep finding it on the floor. dunno beyond that.
I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm having more fun doing it than in any other resource gathering crafting game I've played before. and it looks great.

Yeh...we don't have one of those. And people seem to prefer building monuments instead or duplicates of what we already have. Gah!!

I don't really know what I can do, there should be a message board in town that residents can write on.

You can produce electricity by running on a treadmill generator or find food by moving trees.

Was pleasantly surprised to see a beta code waiting in my inbox this evening. I thought I'd missed out completely, didn't realise they were releasing codes in blocks.

Played for about an hour. Had no troubles getting in at all.

Started off generating power for the town before helping unload the vast quantities of mined minerals off of the bus returning from one of the islands. Then a giant mecha Godzilla rolled into town and threw meteors at us. We managed to take it down with a barrage of rockets, and it fell to the ground in the middle of town and turned to crystal. Now we are mining its remains for more minerals.

THIS GAME.

Only thing I dislike is the vignette. I find it quite distracting.

Are we really lining up at the workbench?
It's going to be hit or miss this special little guy. :p

It's really laggy too now compared to yesterday, black corners are too much indeed. Could be a nasty framerate, felt like 15fps when other players were attacking a monster.
The numbers on screen? Haven't got a clue.
Artstyle is fantastic.

Still not getting in. Too bad, would've liked to play some of it beyond the tutorial.
I must have clicked ok over 100 times and seen the intro title stuff nearly 40 lol. Have tested Internet connection, restarted PS4, etc. So far but still failing to get in. Good thing I'm at home sick today otherwise I wouldn't have even been able to try the tutorial, heh.

Also, I wish you could see players more consistently. I play with some friends at the moment but I only see them half the time.

I have no idea what to do. Tried to build a house, but the town had already hit the residence limit. Went to another town, which was full, too. I tried to do anything else in the town. Couldn't find anything because apparently I needed nameless resources I didn't have.
So I used the subway to travel to a recently created town, hoping that there would still be room for a residence. After a loading time of about three minutes, the game disconnected. I tried it another time, but again it disconnected after a long-ass loading time. Uninstalled.

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.

If you highlight the beta in the PS4 menu (pressing down), there is a guide for the game. There's also another link to the beta forum apparently.

I link it here as well in case it wasn't yet:

When you start the game i says they might purposely disconnect you and if it happens you should try to reconnect as often as possible (stresstest!) so it might not always be your connection or full servers I guess?

Hahaha it sounds like you had almost the exact same experience as me.

No clue what I was doing, got into a town and pretty much left straight away without doing anything, got a black screen for 5 minutes so restarted, couldn't connect to servers from that point onwards.

10/10 would beta again.

They really really REALLY need to disable terrain creating void power usage inside of the towns. The amount of griefing I'm encountering via bridge creation blocking is just ridiculous. There's nothing the legit players in my town can do to fight back despite there being way more of us than the dickheads

dynamite, rocket launches, and pick-axes are your friend in this situation, along with down-voting them and placing traps for them :)

You can go to another town to buy some tools or even go to another ministry of labor.. or even... steal their resources, and then head back to your own town.

Stuff in your pocket counts towards the town's usable resources when you are at the workbench so you can use that to allow you to build stuff before other people use some of the resources.

Man, 271 coupons from being a good citizen and I can't buy anything because all we have is an electric kiosk. Can't build anything else and our level is too low for any good stuff.

Basically being defenceless as a kaiju stomps everything you worked on is argh. And it happens really often.

I thnk one problem is nobody seems to wait for anything. They go to the workbench, see something in white and hit ok. So we have 5 electric generators we don't need and tons of stupid signs.

Wood seems the most critical resource so far. You spend tons building houses, then a monster sets fire to something and you need more to repair it. Food usually second scarcest. Both need trees.

I'm enjoying my chainsaw but need to figure out a balance between cutting down for wood and leaving for food.

Is there a way to repair tools? My chainsaw is nearly down to zero

Do I need a military kiosk to buy/make bullets?

Also sod off with the sliding block puzzles. I hate sliding block puzzles, but it's hard enough to scrape together the resources and then that.

Tldr; monsters come too often, food and wood share a common scarce resource, don't like puzzles as additional gate to building

Wood is critical but it's also replenishable if you do some farming - you can build saplings from apples that grow into trees (and generate more apples), so if you are careful and manage your orchard you can have a pretty constant supply of wood without even going to an island.

The sliding puzzles are pretty easy, but feel free to bribe your way through them.

I got booted and can't play anymore. ;-;
Every time I try to continue I see the train loading screen and then it says
"Could not connect to the gamer server. Returning to the title screen."
Is it over?

pop out to a neighbouring town and get your equipment and then come back if you are desperate :)

or.... get your stuff on the black market

Sorry about that, it's a beta, we've never had this many players in the game and we are chasing all these problems up.

I finally succeed to pass the subway !

Basically, after some minutes playing, I decided to go in another city (a big one), and I take the train. But since, impossible to connect to the game. I always had a error message after 1min30 waiting in the subway.
After 7 or 8 attempts to connect, the game said that it can't connect to the city due to the fact that there are too many players ! Yes ! Then the city list appears, and voila. I selected another one, with way less players.

I hope you guys are going to get a lot of coverage or a ps+ deal, it's not going to be easy to sell this, cool concept obviously but bloodborne is easier to pick up.

I feel it's just slightly too large. I don't mind the vignette as it fits the art style, just think it needs turning down slightly.

It's part of the old cinematic style, but it changes depending on the time of day too. So sometimes it can feel strong and sometimes weak. It's all part of the overall aesthetic though.

Wasn't enough, eventually people gave up and almost everyone left the town. It's deserted now, and the resource points, bus stop and town center are all just red brick. Kind of sucks to have to abandon town because griefers have way superior tools to those of us just trying to make a home or clean up what they've done. The ministry also punished me for using rockets to try and clear faster for damaging town buildings.

I've had a lot of fun with the beta but honestly if that's the solution it's probably a deal breaker for me when it comes time to buy, as I fear it will just be one huge grief-fest.

Took me ages to work out how to get coupons, hope the full game has a better tutorial on the basics of the game. Couldn't work out how to get money either.

Is a lot of fun otherwise, like Minecraft but with a purpose.
