you know, I've always had fond hatred for the Nazi but playing this game just makes it that much worse.

Well I finished it. It was amazing and all that etc. I don't need to repeat all the praise that's already been given. But there is a bit of shame involved.

I had to dumb it down for the second part of the final boss battle. I couldn't help it. The rage and the frustration had reached critical limits for the first time in god knows how long (this might actually be the first time I've done this now I think about it). I never switch difficulties after I start something up. It never happens, but for some reason after dying so many times during that first part I just couldn't take it anymore. And after that Red Skull wannabe motherfucker being able to withstand 20 plus rockets AND multiple scoped in LKW shots (one of those "I ain't got time for this shit" kind of moments when you know you have plenty of fucking time) I simply had to buckle and suck a dick.

At least I found all of the collectibles. Time for that alternate timeline with Wyatt Earp.

Still the best FPS I've played since the original BioShock and Ep. 2.

I don't even know what is the strategy involved for the second stage of the final boss. I just know that I had +20 rockets, maxed grenades, and shot them all (dual wield) until I was done.

Pelt him with rockets, everytime he raises his hands to shield himself he takes no damage. Make him raise his hands 6 or so times, he'll go down.

2 rocket hits make him raise his hands.

I couldn't even tell because I was running around so frantically. The flames make it hard to distinguish not only where the hell he is but what he is doing.

Just got the Platinum, loved this game.

(Enigma Code Spoilers)
The Unlockable Modes
are a nice touch, makes for some super fun run and gun. The No-Hud should help photo junkies too.

It's a great damn FPS and will be one of my favourite games this year but I was thinking if the PS4/Xbox One versions of Shadow Warrior come out this year console folk have another cracking FPS to look forward to :p (assuming it's this year that is)

Tips for the final battle:

- First priority is to use the rockets first with a combination of grenades to stun him. Aim at the "head", don't hesitate. When you're empty, there's a few round at the corners of the map.
- After you've done with rockets and grenades, use the LKW next. There's a charge station at one of the sides of the map, behind some cover/walls, where it's easy to recharge it without taking damage. Aim down the sight and blast away at it. A few shots is enough to stun him. Whenever that happen, recharge the LKW, sprint on the side of the map where there is a catwalk/railing (with an armor and healt pack), and then over to the recharge station at the other side. You might have to jump over a few flames on the way, but they shouldn't do too much damage. Wait for the boss to arrive and unleash the LKW at him. He will be stunned again. Recharge the LKW, sprint back using the same path and wait for him. Rinse and repeat until he's dead.
- Don't use bullets.

So... I'm lost there was no post credits scene unless the sound of a helicopter flying away is what everyone was talking about.

In regards to the ending I think it's more
you see them flying away before the game ends and it sounds like they are coming back in the post credits sound, hence suggesting that Blazko may still be alive and they're picking him up

I didn't have to use the LKW at all, I just dual wielded two Assault Rifles (both set to rocket launcher mode) and just shot at his head while strafing, he went down pretty fast on Uber and I didn't even run out of rockets. You should just make sure that you break all crates in the previous area, to get as much health/ammo/armor as possible

Aha, that makes sense I kind of figured that for a moment but I was just expecting more I guess but I wanted to ask here just to make sure.

Thanks man I was so confused lol.

This, and also the marksman rifle in laser mode and making sure to grab all the health and armor you can get.

Running around also helps.

Was there a way to hold more rocket ammo, perks? I think I had max at 22 when I fought the final boss, and it wasn't enough to take him down, so I had to use the LKW.

Fuck it. Going through my third play through on Über this time. Missing a lot of enigma codes in the
bridge
chapter...

I'm too the underwater section and they've just mentioned going to the moon. How much do I have left?
A lot! You've
just passed the halfway point.

My absolute favourite moment in the game was Blazkowicz's interaction with the scrapped car in one of the later chapters.

Much character.
Hmmm help me out here. Which scene was that again? God so much happens in this game.

There is one in the Demolition Perk tree but I didn't have it unlocked when I fought him. I was holding pretty much the same number of rockets as you. Maybe you shot at him while he was covering his face and he didn't take any damage

Game is too hard for me on Uber for a first playthrough. I brought myself back down to the middle difficulty, continuing to have a blast.

Ill do what some others mentioned - go for the Uber achievement on 999 mode on a second playthrough.

That is a possibility, and if true, then the final boss really isn't hard at all.

That bridge level sure gave me a lot of HL2 bridge level feelings. And the moon level brought in a lot of NOLF memories.

On Chapter 16 now! Have all the collectibles up to this point and playing on Uber. This is the end!

There are some very good shots in this game. Cutscenes are well done.

There was one in chapter 6-7(?) where the camera split
into three angles featuring different characters in each 'block' and then reformed to a whole picture on BJ
. Good stuff.

On chapter 3. Kind of annoyed they haven't stopped to spend any time with BJ and the nurse (that has to be a porno title). "So you're, like, mobile now." "You took care of me for years, you're pretty cool, thanks." There have been a couple potential story beats like this they've set up and then just kind of skipped.

I think there was a cutscene after chapter 8, once one gets back to the base, it was all done in one long shot or two.

My guess is the developers had to find a balance between story development and not boring the player with too lengthy . But I agree they could've prioritise some things better...

My biggest gripe with the cutscenes is their (occasional) abrubt endings. Sometimes the cutscene ends before the music even gets a chance to fade out. It provides for a really weird overall flow. Same goes for deaths: BJ rarely gets a chance to finish his cheeky last words before the loading screen appears and cuts him off. Most noticeable in the
bridge chapter; where BJ says "Stupid way to die" if you fall of the bridge. Never gets past the word 'stupid'.
It all reminds me a bit of Killzone 3...

But hell, these are just the ramblings of a nitpicker. ;)

Didn`t you like BioShock Infinite better than the first one?

And a good many character moments are missable, and subsequent playthroughs can play out very differently.

Scratching my head trying to come up with that one too.

I think he's talking about THIS. The guy is so likeable.

And they grieve for their dead.

Such raw sorrow.

Can't partake.

Mine would flood oceans.

It would drown me.

If I let it out.

SO GOOD

For another little Blazkowicz detail, check his hands in chapter 13
when you're on the transport shuttle trying to get off the base before the missile hits it. He's actually listening to the music and tapping his knees.

There is armor and health littered around the final boss area. Just circle strafe and it's very difficult to die (unless you start at 20 health) Did it on my first try.

The game's biggest weakness, IMO, is they drop characters in and out without delving much into them. Which would be fine, but I actually wanted to know more about some of them.

Phew. Maybe not as great as I'd hoped it would be, but a nice and fun shooter. Hopefully it is successful for MachineGames

The worst thing in regards to that sort of thing was the first mission where there is a really forced moment where BJ comments on the "good team" father/son dynamic between fergus and wyatt as they first storm the castle. It was one of the laziest ways to build a connection to characters you'd only known for 5 minutes.... i knew right then
one of them was going to end up dead

I would have liked a couple more nazi main bad guys. We don't see Deathshead that much and while I really liked team Bubi Engel, I would have enjoyed some more bad guys beyond the random soldiers and commanders.

Yeah, I can agree with that, was half expecting Hitler to have some sort of appearance, if only as some brain hooked up to machines or something...and I might be alone in this, but I miss the loper from RtCW. They where quite annoying to fight, but they made for a powerful close range enemy type, which this game doesn't really have. Plus I liked the backstory of them being failed super soldiers.

This is the exact part where I was like..."I don't think this game is going to be what I thought it was going to be."

I love it.

Sorry if this has been asked to death but....how is the game?

It's good. Damn good. Great shooting mechanics, cool level design and, most surprisingly to me, a great storyline. I'd say it's one of the best FPS to come out in a while.

Uh, so how am I supposed to go by figuring out th enigma codes? Is there some hint or trick to them?

Don't just give me the answer, I want to figure them out but I just don't know where to start.

This game is really good, so so good. There is only one problem i have with this game and it's the enemy design at higher difficulties. I was playing on Uber and once i got to chapter 10 or 11, i just had enough. Seriously, the enemies are just bullet sponges and the encounters are so poorly designed. In the game, they just like to toss you in an area and stuff as many enemies as possible, it makes the game seriously unfun. I decided to drop the difficulty level down and i'm not going to waste my time getting a platinum in this game. I'm pretty good at fps games but this kind of bullshit is annoying. It also has that bs COD has where once you cross a line, the enemies start coming out of random ass places. I'm really enjoying the story though and i began to enjoy the gameplay once i dropped the difficulty down. Those enemies with the shot guns(you know the ones i'm talking about) are so annoying.

Can anyone confirm (or has anyone confirmed) if beating the final chapter on Uber will get you that achievement? Just don't want people giving up on the Plat because of chapter 12/14 on Uber.

Not that 16 is a pushover.
