This is the best image comparison I've seen to clearly show the difference between XB1 & PS4.

I still think unless you're sitting right in front of a huge TV you won't really notice the difference, but hey, the PS4 will have more than twice as many pixels per frame on the PS4 than the Xbox One if that means anything. :)

Now there's only one thing to know. Which one has a more stable framerate? The X1 at 720p or the PS4 at 1080p. If the PS4 wins on this parameter too, it's time for MS to start thinking about a Xbox One S.

I wouldn't use this graphic. It seems to be comparing the PS3 version and the PS4 version, so texture quality, geometry, and other graphical enhancements are not exactly comparable to the Xbox One version. Now pixel count, looks pretty accurate. I realize the reason, they didn't release the same shots for Xbox One and PS4, but let's be fair.

Agreed. This is a bad comparison .. unless you are comparing the image size of 720p versus 1080p.

I think it's funny that Kojima was upset that Sony was being extra secretive about the PS4 development and so went into the MS camp and was with them for E3 2013.

But then came the debacle of the DRM and the fact it isn't as powerful (Kojima said he felt MS was overstating the use of cloud computing) and is now basically back with Sony with MGS themed PS4 and the better version.

Oh Kojima.

Is this Kojima being upset a fact, or something you're injecting here?

I know the resolution is always brought up when it comes to next gen system, but I always feel disappointed how the XBone turned out.

After 7 years of 720p, it would seem a no-brainer to at least be capable of 1080p gaming.

At least Sony got it. Which is why it's so hard to justify the higher price.

It is capable. I played Forz in 1080p. It will "universally" get there soon I bet, but don't talk all defeated, there is still hope!

IMO I am dissapointed in how both turned out. PS4 made me feel better about the games/hardware X1 made me feel better about the games/features but neither are perfect.

I was playing 1080p last gen, getting 1080p isn't hard, it's the sacrifices you have to make to get there. Forza as you mentioned is a good example of sacrifices that were made to get there.

Correct me if wrong but 1080 is not double 720, sorry.

720 x 2 = 1440.

Xbox One S, 33% smaller so you get 1.5x the performance per cubic inch?

You mean 7 years of sub720p upscaled to 720p.

I can understand the disappointment, but the X1 is still a step up from current gen, even if in 3 years all multiplatform titles only run at 720p.

Kojima tweet Google-translated:

"We will be UP in the afternoon of today the video comparison of "GZ" and "current machine / next generation." Looking at YOU TUBE normally, the image compression, you might not know so well 30FPS. People who want to see exactly is recommended DL version. I hope that it is a PC of some performance in that case."

MGSV website going offline minutes after release unless another site becomes the best known source.

It does look pretty good, but it's not as if this is a next-gen game being squeezed onto current-gen machines. FOX Engine was built for PS360 and being improved on for PS4/X1.

Is this a Senjutsusage alt account or something? Between this and the Kinect is a peripheral thread, you sound exactly like himm
