I hope that this lives up the hinting of ambition given off by its debut trailer, being a huge showcase for cloud servers syncing thousands of enemy entities to lots of players in a fast-action game.

No. There will not be. Ever. It's called a contract. They said so.

Okay. Periods. We. Get. It.

I'm a little concerned for this game given their recent efforts R2 and R3 and that disaster of a game they released on ps3/360 that I've already forgotten the name of. The art style is something else though, such a pleasant change from the dreary Resistance games

This game feels so goddamn alien with all the desaturated colors and greyed out buildings we fought inside WITH TEH REALZ WEPUNZ and grizzled bald heroes who couldn't crack a smile to save their stupid bimbo girlfriend in the previous gen. Such Style, Such Color, Wow!

Can't wait! It seems rather 90's and in a good way

Microsoft FINALLY has an exclusive Sony fans desperately want... and it's from a Sony developer

Looks very modern to me. Games are trapped in the 80/90's world of heroes.

I heard this game is getting a PS4 port? I can't imagine how good the sliding on the food tray is going to look using the power of the GDDR5.

I doubt Insomniac being associated with Sony was much of a reason to sign the game, it's not like it's going to cause a notable amount of converts. It's just the game.

I assumed this was on PS4 as I've always attached the Insomniac name to Sony. This game looks so cool and I'm happy for XBOX One.

Dead

well not really...yet
Putting aside all the console exclusivity wankery, I just hope the game is a return to form for Insomniac. The Resistance IP and Fuse have very much sullied them to me, despite the few Ratchet games they put out last gen.

Don't you dare change that box art Insomniac!

That'd be awesome

who gives a crap about PS3, XB1, PS4, etc, tc.

From this limited info - art and one small gameplay clip, it actually looks interesting, unlike Fuse.

Whoever came with this art, had nothing to do with Fuse.

Can someone explain the hype for this game?

it's a shooter made by Insomniac who peaked with Rachet and Clank a Crack in Time. Did everyone forget FUSE?

The only games I ever liked from insomnac were Ratchet and Spyro. :( Their shooters didn't interest me. I'm not sure about this game yet. I love the colors though.

R3 was a long way from both a disaster and dreary. It's beautiful, and an excellent game as well.

I wouldn't call general interest in seeing the title revealed in gameplay form hype. And plenty of developers have hit or miss records, but that doesn't keep them from creating hits. What's with the dumb notion that the only projects worth looking forward to have to come from those developers who have immaculate records? No developer does.

Alright so:

Its a third person action shooter
Its colourful
It looks like it has an extremely fun vibe
Its made by a company that has proved itself in the past with great games
Insomniac has confirmed that the artstyle is here to stay
Parlour thats not Ass Creed or Uncharted
Cool weapons
Great Trailer

Frankly id be surprised if people weren't hyped

So . . . Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2 and Halo 2 Anniversary semi confirmed? Because if so best fall ever

Quantum Break, SO, Forza Horizon 2 and Halo Anniversary 2 all this fall supposedly. That's a lineup that's almost unseen before in quality based on potential.

Calling the lineup "best ever" and "almost unseen before in quality" is way too hyperbolic.

That said, it's an awesome lineup. Hopefully Quantum Break does release this Fall; that game looks like the best of the bunch to me. Alan Wake was incredible, and I'm confident Remedy will deliver with Quantum Break too. I'm a bit worried that it might slip to Q1 or Q2 of 2015 (based on how little we've heard/seen about it). In that case, the fall would be anchored by Sunset Overdrive, Halo 2 HD, and Forza Horizon 2. That would still be a solid lineup. Sunset Overdrive oozes with potential and style. It really will come down to how well it's all executed.

Ha sorry, I wasn't talking in general, its just that sequels to my favourite games, plus an awesome looking new IP and Dragon Age Inquisition mean my fall is going to be perfect :)

Can't wait to finally see it. I really hope it lives up to the reveal trailer. A lot of potential based off what they've said and if they can pull off the fast paced nature of the trailer.

Also I have a feeling this thread may turn into a graveyard of grey names soon.
