NEVER trust a IGN Board rumor.. They are made up, trust me, as a IGN mod, we know they are fake.

Anyways, the whole "i know a friend"? Really, lol.

Is it too early for a bingo sheet? I've got too much hype, and this is the only way to get it all out. These are the games i think will be at nintendo's e3 event

Hm, needs a Paper Mario instead of Nintendo Land 2. Unless Nintendo Land gets DLC.
Not sure about Minecraft...

They actually did up the scope with Skyward Sword. The areas in SS are massive. They are several times bigger and more involved than their equivalent areas in previous Zeldas.

They definitely did from a gameplay perspective, I honestly loved Skyward Sword and thought it to be a much better game than Twilight Princess. However, with the tech we have today I just think it'd be cool to see a huge Hyrule that you can seamlessly explore on both the ground and in the air. I can dream though. :(

Live press conference is way better than a pre recorded video. It's just more hype that way. Crowd reactions are a big part of it.

But a pre-recorded video is far from bad.

There was shills at both of the other live conferences last year. Usually is

So do I. I'm just saying that when you think about it it's pretty damn impressive how much larger and denser the scope of the environments in Skyward Sword are compared to Twilight Princess especially considering they were made on the same hardware.

Curses, I thought I'd had a decent, original videogame idea for a moment there. Never mind, out by one year is still my best effort yet!

well i was predated on this by about an entire year it seems. it's weird because i thought i went into detail about how it might work. turns out i just thought what someone else said was cool and ran with it.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own

This is Death Mountain in Twilight Princess:

It's just a straight climb up the mountain where you sumo some Gorons along the way. You do have to collect light tears and return to Ordon to get the iron boots and rescue the kids in a horseback battle but my god was that shit tedious; and people give SS shit.

This is Eldin Volcano in Skyward Sword:

It's a huge area that twists around on itself. You run through it solving some puzzles, fighting some enemies, and collecting some keys.

You've opened my eyes

All I want is Solid Snake in New Smash....or Lin with his moveset.
Please Sakurai I know you're going to announce more at Smash Character as E3 just give me that.

If the digital event was like the mega 64 video it would be awesome, but if its like the Mario Kart direct I'll be disappointed. I thought the Mario kart video was too hammy.

... huh

How funny would it be if they announce snake in the exact same way they did last time?

Oh damn you caught my typo. I have a bad habit of always referring to smash as Brawl. Have done it in the Smash thread as well.

Aside from that would be funny if he just pops out of the cardboard box again. This time just saying "kept you waiting huh?"

It's definitely going to be Nintendo's biggest E3 in years for me, as they will reveal the next main Zelda game. It's that simple! It's funny though, I'm not that hyped as I should be. Maybe the wait between Skyward Sword and this reveal wasn't long enough? lol who knows...

That was unexpected. And it was awesome. I laughed a lot and the announcements was great too.
The previous 2 Nintendo Directs, Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 were great, and I hope that they keep this standard.
Now it is time to reserve a spot in the hype train and count the day until E3.

A few new games released this year, would make this year even better for the Wii U.

Unfortunately, and one of the aspects that really makes Skyward Sword a disappointing game, the player is forced to go to the same areas 3 times.

Why...why would you even post this here.

We get tons and tons of fake "My uncle works at Nintendo guyz" posts every single E3. Time and time again they are proven wrong.

Hell, there are even people on GAF that have staked their reputation on false Nintendo information.

I think we should adopt an "extremely fake until proven otherwise" policy for this kind of stuff.

Nope, was probabaly the worst Zelda I have played in recent memory and a mediocre video game over all. I barely had the will power to finish it after fighting the same boss for the third time and arriving at the same place for the 3rd time.
Smh theres alot more in skyward sword than just that. I doubt you played it anyway so I dont even know why I started lol

I'm afraid I have had the displeasure in playing it. There are some highlight such as the last temple with the cool time puzzles, but the game gets a lot more wrong. Excessive hand holding and tutorials, sky exploration is a joke and controls only work 98% of the time.

Oh, but I don't expect you to show any signs of being critical. After all its a Nintendo game.

the way it's treated is more like different levels of a video game though. admittedly the escort mission is largely a complete retread, and i would have preferred getting a brand new area to show off my sweet sweet bow and arrow skills, but i could understand the choice.

i still don't understand the reason for returning to the original temple. i can't recall doing anything different there. everything else pretty much has a different treatment where it changes the level design each time.

and unlike some bad games out there

, it didn't have you fighting the same boss the same way each time. the method would evolve until the final iteration. i mean if they're actually going to have the same dudes show up again, thank god they actually mixed it up.

the handholding was bad. for me the worst part about it wasn't even the hints, but how it killed the pacing of the game. i never felt like i could just play at my own speed. and fi as a character wasn't interesting so there's not even that to fall back on. and the game itself was easy, but i think more of this has to do with my having played zelda for 20 years (good lord it's been that long?!). at this point, i'm used to the design process behind this group. that's why i was hoping the motion controls would be used to solve puzzles in creative ways and not just for combat.

other than that, i think it's pretty solid. there's some beautiful music, probably the best in the series. i enjoyed what they did with the presentation overall. and i like that the game, outside of the barren skyworld, was pretty much all dungeons all the time.

and funny enough, most of the problems i have with skyward sword, i also have with the first super mario galaxy. the two are extremely similar to each other in how they're paced and how they're structured. but where the pacing and easiness of super mario galaxy really got on my nerves at times, i wasn't as bothered with it in skyward sword.

Just make sure to add me on miiverse if you play the next Zelda on WiiU since it will undoubtly have some kind of online component. Cheers!

Presentation what made me really excited about the game and absolutely loved it. The cutscenes.. (I know MYE has a whole stable of them) Are just gorgeous.. I could watch all day. Really excited for Zelda U's presentation :)

I won't be getting a WiiU unless the library really beefs up to the point where its something I cannot resist. The games I'm interested in are:
Zelda, Smash and X. Really, I could just borrow my friends WiiU to play X and Zelda. Unless the WiiU is placed at £99 or less, I won't be getting it. The idea of owning two consoles a gen for me is long gone, now that I'm in uni and don't have as much time or money.

Lol sounds suspect

I really want to say that this will be the best E3 ever but I said that the three previous years and things didn't go as I expected...
