According to Shenmue500k Discussion regarding this screenshot of the trademark from Shenmuedojo.net the trademark filing is NEW. Not a renewal of an old trademark. Meaning, SEGA had to have actively filed for a brand new trademark.

Shenmue this year or bust.

If anything I'm thinking Sony might go for a one GAF crash a year, so TLG /Shenmue 3 one year and the other one the following.

As much as I am very intrigued to play Shenmue HD collection since the setting is perfect for me, does the actual gamplay hold up at all? And I don't mean the QTEs.
Are consumers actually willing to play tank-controlled games?
Would it change the game dynamic for the better or worse, if they would get rid of tank-controls for a more direct input?
Would the fans, who actually want this remake/port buy, if the game was changed?

Sega would likely go for any deal that doesn't involve them paying for it, even if only to shut the rest of us up finally.

I like how Shenmue is brushed aside as something nobody outside of a niche audience would give a shit about, whilst TLG is constantly cited as an instant E3 winning event. Ico and SoTC had comparable/worse sales than Shenmue whilst having the fucking PS2 audience to sell to...

Oh man, I remember how years ago I visited the shenmue dojo website daily hoping for some scrap of shenmue 3 news. After losing hope so many times, could it actually finally be happening??

The majority of them (except Shenmue and MH) sounds like mobile or arcade games to me. I REALLY hope, they finally make Shenmue HD versions

Also, MH4G is obviously a Monster Hunter version for Nintendo or Sony.

minor update on the website scenario via shenmue dojo:

sega suffered a cyber attack which resulted in a few sites being down, however shenmue.com was not listed as one of the affected sites. functionality has returned to the affected sites, whereas shenmue.com is still down.

so... there's something happening with the website at least.

Didn't they let Shenmue expire? This is probably just a normal corporation move to keep their IP trademarked and not an indication they will ever do anything with it.

They would have to rework the controls, tank controls would put most people off 20 mins in.

Seriously. Even if it is an N-Gage exclusive.
