I ain't satisfied unless I see sub-zero get his ass kicked, It's mandatory. I can't wait to see what MKX's start screen is going to be, the scorpion uppercut in MK9 was flawless lol.

Nice work guys.

Haha I'm the opposite. I wish Sub-Zero wasn't getting his ass kicked in everything they release. He was my favorite back in the day. Loved the trailer even though I probably won't do more than rent the game.

Jesus Christ Raiden, you're like Electric Hitler

They get their full ALL IN ONE GAMES AND ENTERTAINMENT CONSOLE THE XBOX ONE garbage in the full PR, so they can deal with it~!

Well Raiden is a terrible guardian of earthrealm, the guy couldn't even make out his own time-travel message until pretty much the whole of earthrealm was dead.

So, that's what Boon meant by "Injustice Too" meaning that Mortal Kombat X will be in a similar way as Injustice, but hopefully a lot better. I wonder what these variations in characters are?

Also, it wasn't that hard to see that it was a CG trailer from the beginning. Come on, guys.

The actual game will look quite close to thee trailer; well at least on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. On PS3/360 it will look like a grittier MK2011...which is still damn great.

So far seems to be following a similar trend. CG teaser, some gameplay clips around E3 around actual hands-on. Magazine/site interviews and articles leading to the release around Spring (2015).

I did not care for a lot of the stage interaction a saw in Injustice like picking up cars and stuff (I've only played it once so I don't know if that is it or not) but stuff like swinging on the branches like what was shown here I am personally fine with.
It should be like Injustice. Bigger/stronger characters can lift/throw things, while those...not as heavy or powerful can use them to jump, escape or evade attacks.

So..someone like Goro could actually grab a tree and throw it to an opponent, while Sub-Zero can swing on the branches.

Pls, look at how many people skeeted when someone inserted that old ass techno MK song from the movie.

Secondary, it's a trailer if the concern that the music will be drastically different in the game because of licensed trailer music then you people should NEVER watch trailers for videogames.

"You people"?!

Did you even read the rest of my comment? You conveniently cut out:

I think the concern is nothing to do with "huehuehue gaiz gaiz rap=crap! I'm so wits!" but rather that the music in MK games has always provided atmosphere to the game, usually with oriental stylings. Most other forms of music would be met with equal pessimism.

Further to that though, a lot of people don't seem to realise that MK trailer music isn't usually related to the game. For example MK9's teaser pre-e3 had music by the band Disturbed... and if I recall correctly, it was met with the exact same comments as this

You make the assumption that everyone hates Rap, when that couldn't be further from the truth in my case.

I stand by the fact that I feel the music in the trailer does not fit, as do I believe that the original MK music from the film (the techno music) doesn't fit either. That doesn't mean I think techno or rap will not work in a fighting game or are examples of "shit music". Absolutely not.

Take your "you people" generalisations else where. The idea that someone might not feel that a song in a trailer doesn't fit it, doesn't mean they hate entire genres of music or are all talking in some rotund "lol speak"

Come on, NRS. You know the fighting game community is going to shit on you guys no matter what, so embrace the whole MK Single-player experience.

Guys, I have a problem.

I get so hype for new fighters. I don't particularly care for MK or netherrealms games, but I love new fighters.

My hype is so high.

:(

:)

One day we'll have a fighter where the after effects of using a power like freeze or fire are still visible in the stage long after their use.

One day....

Since they're showing it next week, the game has a chance to look at least close to that good. I mean, think about it. They wouldn't show a BS trailer just a week before actual gameplay is shown would they? Surely they're smarter than that.

Cool stuff. Don't see why the music is such a big deal but i'd prefer it if it was just the beat. Not bad regardless.

You say Lil Wayne... I say ACDC
You say Nickleback... I say Kiss
You say Justin Bieber... I say Metallica
You say Rebecca Black... I say The Rolling Stones

97% of NeoGAFers have turned to Hip Hop and Pop. If you are part of the 8% that still listen to REAL music in your videogame trailers, copy and paste this message to another 5 CG trailers. DON'T LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK DIE!!

Devs have spent too much time and money customizing UE3 for their needs to waste money on an UE4 license and then throw away all the time and money they spent on customizing UE3. Most UE3 games now are on a custom version of the engine that might as well not be UE3 anymore.

They should keep on using UE3 for decades to come I presume?

Epic rap battles of mortal kombat.
Who's next?
YOU DECIDE.

Hah otherwise looks great hopefully they can get a close math

Hella excited and will definitely get for the Playstation 3, but this trailer kind of pissed me off.

1. Sub Zero has a crappy design yet again.
2. Sub Zero got his ass beat yet again.

Man they must really dislike Sub Zero. Oh well, as always with every MK it's Sub Zero, Kano, Rain and Ermac for me.

I did no such thing, read my initial post again. And when you do try to comprehend it. My post was clearly lodged at the "rap = crap huehuehue" chucklefucks as in the actual people who posted such nonsense, if you took the time to read all the posts in the thread there are numerous people chanting such nonsense. Not liking a song is one thing, but when you start with the usual "rap is crap" "not even a real genre" "earbleed music" then it's quite clear said person(s) don't like rap music and it doesn't take a degree in psychology to realize that. No generalizations about that; my post is clearly lodged against those people. Hence "rap = crap huehuehue" comment in the first place. Why would anyone who likes the genre say something like that? They wouldn't thus my statement is not directed towards them. Not liking a particular song is one thing, but not liking a particular song also doesn't warrant such remedial statements as "not a real genre!" so obviously I'm not talking about them. In your haste to be the white knight you ignored all of that.

Take your faux-offended ass elsewhere.

I'm dead serious - music can make me skip a game. I'm weird like that. So yeah, it's unlikely that they'll use this music in-game, right?

Why would the music not be featured in the game if it's in the début trailer? I'd assume it be for more than just the CG trailer.

Do I win a prize for talking about my penis on the Internet???
Man I absolutely love the art direction of that trailer, hopefully actual gameplay on PS4/Bone ends up looling like that. I don't hate the song choice, though it is a little jarring. I'm a little worried seeing some move animations that resemble some of the clunky stuff from MK9, hopefully they have a completely overhauled the animations and hit detection.

It's fantastic. The trailer is good. Before the words came in I was super hyped or excited. That match up is one of MK's finest though. Ed Boon sure knows what he's doing. I'm glad he still makes MK.

I know the trailer will wear off in a while, but that was pretty good.

Keep up the great work NetherRealm.
