Final Fantasy Type-0 (Fan) Translation Released

Which of the ppsspp buildbot versions is the most stable? The latest crashes on exit for me.

Edit: seems they all crash on exit for me, even the official 0.9.8 release. Oh well.

No, it merges the ISOs (So you only need one file to play) as well as the patch.
god damnit, I just downloaded the Type-0 Merging... you are telling that I don't need it anymore because it's already in the translated patch file ?

Since they don't have a loading bar for their patcher, can someone tell me how long it's supposed to take and how large the final patched ISO is supposed to be? It's been patching for ~10-15 minutes (even though I already merged the ISOs beforehand). Just asking because the file I downloaded from Mega said it was corrupted but opened OK, so not sure if I need to redownload it.

Yep :( I feel your pain, as someone with an 80GB download limit.

"The automatic patcher is all you need to translate your copy of Type-0. Just make and dump an ISO of either UMD (You can also use the merged ISO) and select it after clicking the patch option. Then choose where to save the patched ISO image and wait for the patcher to generate it."

just to let people know, dont use firefox while using mega, some odd reason its slower than heck, try google chrome(or whatever else you might use). i only tried chrome to find that the speed went up exponentially on chrome(i usually use firefox)

Took about 5-10 minutes to patch my merged ISO.

Using chrome, stuck @ under 300kb/s. I started a while ago though, so maybe something was up with Mega and it's better now.

It took about a minute to patch. It sounds like your patcher is screwed up.

I even downloaded the stupid MEGA plugin to "increase speed". It didn't do shit. I should have been done 40 minutes ago. That's what I get for not trying another browser.

Only took me like 20-30 seconds. Final size 2.65GB.

I got to the actual page, so here are text instructions to go with the image ones last page

– Patcher Download

The automatic patcher is all you need to translate your copy of Final Fantasy Type-0. Just make and ISO dump of either UMD (you can also use the Merged ISO) and select it after clicking the “patch” option. Then choose where to save the patched ISO Image and wait for the patcher to generate it. Simple as that ;)

I would so take the dust off of my PSP to play this, and I am thankful to everyone involved in this amazing translation... but I really have no idea how to make this work. That link/tutorial someone posted read like runes to me. lol First off, I don't even own the UMD for the game and it seems like a huge hassle to buy one from Japan right now, it would take forever and importing it would be way too expensive. I guess I will have to wait and pray for SE to localize it one day and keep playing the demo. :(

You only need an ISO of one UMD. The patcher makes a merged ISO.

I guess I need to get around to finally installing TN-V on my Vita.

what I don't understand is, when I click on the patcher and it said : click the iso you want to patch, and than it patched it, how did he find the second iso for the patch ?

The files required for the merging are in the patcher.

For those that haven't done it, the patching files are 5 edited files of the actual game files. You had to open the ISO up, delete the original files, and replace them with the edited ones. You only ever needed one disc's ISO to merge them

I'm getting a download limit reached message.

Is there another source available anywhere yet?

Edit: never mind, I tried it again and it seems to be working.

Must have been too many people accessing it at once.

For people with CFW Vita, is it worth the effort to set it up?

It's worth it to me to have a screen better than the PSP and the right analog stick. Since you're asking about it now, you probably won't be able to install it. You have to be on a certain firmware with certain exploitable games to run PSP CFW on a Vita.

No I have a Vita with the right firmware and game. It is just I haven't done anything with it and I have no idea how to run PSP games on it.
