Mic on but no luck again tonight. I can get the first giggle but nothing else. I was watching RoadHazard's stream while I was playing. I feel your pain dude.

Beating this game last night was one of the most satisfying things I have ever done in a video game. Hours of frustration and turmoil. Looping and looping through the same room trying everything possible all while watching the colors change from blue, red, green, and yellow on my flashlight. Screaming Lisa and Hello into my mic over over again. Moving ghe controller when you feel it vibrate after the second giggle. All of this will contribute to my new found PTSD from this game. Even after all this, the moment that phone rang was the happiest moment of my life.

Just posting to add a +1 to the working method.
  1. After the chimes & first appearance of ghost, walked 10 steps from the radio to the phone, first giggle.
  2. After the giggle, walked into the bathroom, looked at the fetus. Talked to it before and during the ghost noise. Got second giggle during ghost noise. Haven't moved this whole time.
  3. Third giggle and vibration came after the noise stopped. Didn't move during vibration.
  4. Phone rang

Wow I just redid it for fun and I got the last part completed in 2 minutes or so. After the studio logo I woke back up on the floor, turned to the bag in the first room, plugged mic. Came in, went to the radio, waited for the 12th ding of the bell, made ten steps to the phone, giggle, 2 more steps and looked at the phone while talking with the wife, second giggle, wait, third giggle, phone ring, bye! That was 3 giggles in less than a minute.

After beating it a fourth time, the same pattern of going from the radio to the phone works. Timing and something in between activates that final giggle at the phone. I need to find out what it is.

Considering the open world MGS 5 is 60fps, I'm sure they'll do whatever compromise in visuals it takes to get it to 60.

Also that video, the guy got the"waiting" giggle by crossing the basement door, i once got the other giggle by crossing a path as well, not sure why. He was then wandering around and by accident walked ten steps from the radio to the phone and got the 10 step giggle.

This is super impressive. Anyone with doubts about the final game should breath a little easier after playing this. Such a great concept and execution. Graphics are truly next gen.

there has to be some random factor, ive seen at least 5 vid/steam or people doing it none of them doing it the same ways, i go in and try each way EXACTLY same thing and cant get second giggle

I encountered exactly the same thing. I thought it was my own shadow glitching out, and then as I turn around I'm insta-killed by that god damn ghost witch.

It never happens the same way twice but there is absolutely a method you use to make it happen much more frequently.

BTW roadhazard got it.

What if one is crossing the path of the ai or it crossing you? That would make sense with all the different points that people are hitting the second one.

After you get the bells to chime, walk down to the loop, door, BUT DON"T go though it. turn around, and the baby should laugh. now go to the clock that has 0:00 and zoom in for two seconds. now go back to the radio. zoom in. You should hear the bastard breathing now. stare at it for like 10 seconds. now go to the phone. the baby should do the first laugh. NOW here is where i did something a bit different from the video.now after the laugh zoom in on the phone. I took one step back then forward. Zoom in on the for for about 15 seconds and you will here the next laugh. you probably don't have to step back but that's what I did. then the phone should ring

Try to do this again and see if it works, it probably wont. There is a 10 step giggle that you are doing that you dont know you are doing. After the bell tolls if you take ten steps and stop you WILL get a giggle. It just so happens that from the radio to the phone is basically 10 steps, that is why you got it. Everything after the second giggle is the same for everyone. The controller rumbles you wait, a third giggle will happen and the phone will ring.

All the zooming in on stuff is probably extra stuff that means nothing. What matters is why is the basement the trigger for you.

Totally random shit. He got possessed, he randomly walked around and looked at everything over and over. He got the 10 steps in the middle of it. Eventually he wanted to give up and he stopped in front of the phone, after a few seconds he got a giggle.

Just verified a pattern for the 5th playthrough. First, you stare at the phone and don't move until the bells and music are completely gone. After that, you turn around and walk 10 steps to the radio (First giggle). After that, you turn around with the right analog stick and stare down the hall towards the phone (Don't move!!!!). Wait for another cycle of bells and music to pass, then walk 10 steps to the phone and stare at it (R3 not required). Once a cycle or two of bells and music pass, the baby giggles. Just proved this on multiple playthroughs live.

Bells only ring once each loop. You mean the music occurring again right. Where is your stream?

ok yeah I forgot about the controller rumble. but yeah after the first just standing in front on the phone triggered it. like i said, I did'nt need a mic

I keep seeing people mentioning a yellow or a red screen, but I got a grey one with only a couple of lines on it, in different languages (I think, it disappeared before I could read them all) and written upside down.

I forgot what the English line said, but it was something along the lines of "unexpected termination bug" or whatever.

- did 10 steps giggle (from radio to phone)
- kept trying to locate her last haunting spot and stand in it during the current haunting. In my case it was by the radio. Had my mic on and was talking.
- Got 2nd giggle and didn't move
- ds4 vibrates and I still don't move.
- third giggle, phone call, R3 on phone, we out

Can't wait for this SHS

Brilliant job Kojima.

I DID IT! Thank you, sweet baby Fetus! After trying everything, I finally just wandered around aimlessly for a while. Got possessed, don't know if that mattered. Did the 10-step giggle in the middle of everything (you don't have to do this right after the bells chime, you just need to take 10 steps at some point). Then I just walked around and looked at random stuff for a while, hoping something would happen. Finally I was ready to give up, and stopped near the phone. Stood there for a while, and suddenly there it was. Second giggle, third giggle, vibration, phone. So good! And so random.

That absolutely didn't work. Nothing anybody has said has worked. It just sort of happened eventually.

Finally I finish it. Got the first baby giggle by the radio. Nothing happen for about 25 minutes while walking back in forth down the hallways, and stopping in certain areas.
Then decided to give the mic another shot, plug in, ramble nonsense with my brother for about a minute. Got the second, and third giggle, then phone.

Just tried doing exactly this (after having completed it once), and nope. Following someone else's instructions just never seems to work, even if those instructions have worked ten times for that person. It's really weird.

EDIT: Tried it twice, nothing.

Did people find this out on their own? How the fuck did the chick do this? wow. I mean now we are just following "guides" on how to do it, but how did the first few people get this?? I and so many others were side tracked with the damn colors and the picture.

Just finished after about 2 hours on the last cycle. No mic plugged in.

Stay at door you come out of. Wait for midnight chimes. Walk 10 steps towards phone. First giggle.

Look at phone (not R3, just point your camera at it). Wait out two hauntings. During third haunting, look down entrance hallway for a second, then look down exit hallway for a second. Second giggle. (I WTF'ed at getting a second giggle here.)

Point camera back towards phone. Controller starts rumbling for a few seconds and fades away. Third giggle once rumble stops.

Phone rings. R3 on it, done.

You also just got lucky. I've tried so many variations of that, and it hasn't worked. What finally worked was some random walking around shit that I can't even explain. But I do have a video of it (Share button worked for once!), which I'm gonna upload for anyone who wants to check it out.

This is the scariest thing I've ever played. At one point when you get grabbed I tensed up so bad my muscles went rigarmortis and I got a charlie horse so bad I missed what happened and had to pause and chill.
