I vote for a STEAM OT: Lightning Fast or Lightning Strikes Twice

Seeing all the Transformers talk, both High Moon games are awesome. But the enjoyment is also augmented by how much you love the old Transformers. I had a blast with both games.

Finally, a remark to the Windows 8 users who claim "Win 8 is soo much faster than Win 7. It's well worth the install!" and then still place their games on an old HDD:

If you care so much about "faster" you would install all your games on an SSD.
I don't try to sound elitist, but my - in your eyes "slower" - Windows 7 installation combined with an SSD, will still feel faster while gaming, compared to your Windows 8 installation on an old HDD.

So claiming a certain OS will benefit you in games since it feels "faster", while you still use old HDD technology for your games, is silly.

So basically you're not allowed to discuss any gains in performance unless you embrace the most bleeding edge technology possible? What a silly argument.

I benchmarked Windows 8 and I get better frame rates and loading times than in Windows 7. I don't see what SSD's have anything to do with that fact.

Lightning Strikes Thrice would be better really.

I'm fine with that, heh. So "STEAM OT: Lightning Strikes Thrice"! Considering it's also a trilogy, yeah, it fits much better.

I was going to pick something more obvious like Lightning is Gaben's waifu and such but, nope, that's more to the point, heh.

GODDAMNIT, I'M STILL LOOKING AT FFXIII.
And why does it have so insanely low system requirements.for a console game. GO AWAY LIGHTING GO AWAY FROM ME. I DON'T WANT TO PLAY YOU!

The weather in here is too random lately, rain, humidity, heat, and this is messing the type of games I play since I like to match the mood/setting of the game with the real weather.

I know it sounds weird but I love it.

I think I started this game but I never finished it, it's a great fit for PC. I don't remember if I stopped playing because I was bad at it or really bad at it.

oh well..

Ii haven't seen the benches yet, how does it stack up to the 290x?

Better you check yourself as it depends on the game. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=897689 But basically if you own a 290x the difference isn't worth the upgrade but when deciding what to buy? 970, faster and lower power draw.

Thought you guys might like this PC Gamer article.

This can't be healthy. Just too much. Wasteland, Stronghold, Gauntlet, Neverending Nightmares, Ethan Carter, Sherlock Holmes, Shadow of Mordor .

970 on order.

Should be here early next week, will be able to test the waters with Shadow of Mordor, FFXIII, and then Evil Within a bit later on.

Ooooh I'm soooo jelly. I'll probably get one early-mid next year. Hopefully I get it in time for the witcher 3
I don't believe that would stop it from having ridiculous requirements.

And no, I try to stay strong for games I will actually love. I can't just buy it because it's shiny Dx
Those cutsense are most likely pre rendered. Also it might be a really good port and maybe that's why. I doubt it tho
Also, don't buy it.

This 970/980 pricing is the smartest thing I've ever seen NVidea do. They get the maximum profit from the group that is willing to spend anything and cares little about price, and they deliver the maximum value for the vast majority of customers (as well as staying under the "just buy one of the new consoles" price). In this price range I'll definitely be picking a 970 up by Christmas.
