I've become addicted to taking on rivals after championship series races. I guess its the closest thing to a time-trial in FH2, but for me this is where the game really shines.

Keep beating folks in the GAF club, ranked up to 3rd on the club ladder last night ;)

Good God! That Hyper Car championship!

I didn't do anything to change this gif. I was clenching throughout out every race with this car. Talk about feeling out of control the whole time.

Tried my best no to hit that car, lol. I was going like 140-160mph....and tried to brake (without losing control) on wet asphalt....sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide.

Ended up in second place but dat finish! Totally worth it. That's your tune P3tran. You should make a carworks logo so we can put a "tuned by" on the cars. Downloaded the RS5 tune, incredible. Thanks again for the work on the tunes.

Trying to decide whether or not I should pick up an Xbone solely for this game. I have a PS4, PC, etc. so the Xbone would be for exclusives only and, unfortunately, there aren't many I'm interested in which is the reason why I ended up returning my launch day console last year.

Would this game be worth the $400 price tag until more exclusives are released, or should I wait a bit longer?

It's worth it now, imo, but wait a few weeks for Black Friday!

Or search for an excellent deal online, might find something amazing.

glad they work for you my friend.
mind you, I dont claim that these tunes are the end all-be all of setups.
its just things I did so that cars would become a bit faster and a bit more predictable, while at the same time these cars be able to handle some aggressive team fighting without losing it.

ps did you try the B class 190E?

if forza 5 on launch was not enough for you to do anything else but to return the console, then I'm not very sure how its gonna work out for you this time.....
in my opinion you are missing out bigtime, but thats just my opinion. :)

I did try the 190E. I like it, but I find that I lose it coming out of turns. I really have to feather the gas other wise it digs in and oversteers. Maybe I just need more practice with it now.

I did break a couple of the records I had with my B class audi awd station wagon when tuning the 190e.
maybe try breaking just a little bit earlier, hold a better trajectory in turn, so when you push it and it digs down (like it should), you are catapulted forward and not sideways :)
geometry of suspension, I did not change much other than planting it a bit more down to ground, as I found the oem car drove pretty good. rear tires are fatter, so they should provide plenty of grip if you push without wheel turned too much.

but I will do a class B revisionB for you (revA I did last night >2a.m. :D ) . speed-wise, was it good enough?

There is definately a Retro Supercar championship as I did one with my F50 (that makes be feel old to see the F50 as "Retro").

You might need to select the option to see all the championships in a given region to select it if it isn't being suggested.

Forza 5 was ok, but a bit underwhelming. It felt rushed/barebones to me. Horizon 2 looks a lot more complete. I'd probably spend a lot more time with it.

I guess I'm trying to justify the purchase. I'm probably going to end up with an Xbone eventually anyway, so it's just a matter of sooner than later. Maybe I should wait for Black Friday, as mentioned above, or even Christmas though.

I'll give those tips a try and let you know. Speed is good. I think you are right about the trajectory of turns. It's something I really have to work on.

I love watching replays in this game with the pan camera. This game is beautiful and even fun to watch. Might be the best racing game I've ever played!

My only problem is I have no one on my friends list who plays.

I finally had the chance to sit down and do a few stuff for the first time in a week and yeah, finally got the first fifteen bucket list challenges done and I have all of the perks unlocked now!

I believe I only have five more championships left to do before I hit the Horizon Finale (and yes, I know that it's taken me quite a while)

Did the second Horizon Finale last night. Was surprised to see
how much less XP / CR I received after it. Instead of 1 million+ CR and 100K XP, I only received 100K CR and 50K XP.

Wasn't sure if this was normal, or if it was due to my car choice. The first time, I picked the Ford Focus RS200, where-as the second time, I chose the McLaren P1, since I really wanted to open it up on the highway (instead of being limited to 155), and still have decent handling in the small off-road sections.

30 championships down, 138 to go...

Just bought this game today on a whim, having an absolute blast with it!

I've always been absolutely godawful at sim racers, so have never really bothered with Forza before, but am finding this to be a perfect sort of halfway house between arcadey and sim that makes the driving an absolute joy. It's more involved and interesting than just jamming on the accelerator the entire time, but also forgiving enough that I'm not spending the whole race smashed against a wall.

Am really loving the game's tone too. Music blaring on the radio whilst I cruise along the coastline just feels so relaxing and great.

so, zorbs.... I tuned the merc yesterday doing laptimes and it seemed good.
I raced it just now online... and it is a disaster. the easiest target to knock off course.
will make another one, it will not handle like a mercedes E190, though I think you will be able to use this one ;)

Yep, not a fan of this either. I feel like every race I am scrambling for fourth, then calming down. There isn't enough time to race clean to obtain first. Which probably means my drivatar (like all drivatars?) is a late braking, pit-maneuvering, side-swiping, dolt. Also I do not appreciate what I am perceiving to be rubber banding AI.

Would be nice to also have running starts.

I'm still confused by what aspects of this game actually use Drivatars. It all seems like normal Horizon AI to me, both on the road in free roam and on the track during races. Of course in rivals mode you're taking on the actual ghosts, so no driving profile there either.

Doesn't feel like Forza 5 races at all where you can see the mistakes and personality of drivers on your friend's list. Did Playground just calm them down so much that they seem like normal AI or is it just normal AI after all?

Or is it just me and you guys are seeing friends on the road and in races along with their own unique driving style?

Yep. Looks like it is hard to represent them in open-world game. Or developers just toned them down. I loved drivatars in Forza 5. Was hoped for more drivatar craziness.

Made a A Class "team bus"(transit van) discription "gaf" for a bit of fun, Petran i shall try your tune's next time i'm on, give that tranny a go its a bit slippery but a lot of fun.

Visited my brother today. He has an Xbox One with this game and I have a PS4. I knew I wanted an Xbox one for Halo MCC at some point, but playing this game today at his place online with a bunch of his friends was the absolute best time I've ever had playing a racing game. Just unmatched. I loved the original on 360, but this is just another level. I'm holding out for a sale on Xbox One in November, but when I do get it, this game is going to be the first one I buy.

and I'm not talking blue-red team battle this happened, but regular racing. (like the occasion I totally rammed you in that right slope as my batteries died. no vs battle on that, right?)

but for blue-red team battle...(if you are referring to that?) no sorry for that lentini my friend :D , you just happened to be on the ..wrong team :D (ex. if one blue pushes, then all blue must die)

I remember racing you but I don't remember intentionally hitting you. If I did hit you then I apologise.

I've spent most of my time in FH2 online getting bashed around. I don't mind the occasional nudge when fighting for position but getting pushed across the track into walls and trees is a bit annoying.

It's worth it, I rock this car in S1 races online and I find it outclasses everything.

Especially on the highway where its superior top speed leaves people eating dust.
