The thing for me is, I don't enjoy action movies by and large. It takes something especially clever, funny or thought provoking to keep my interest. I know a lot of people say that Marvel movies and such are just good fun, but for me they aren't fun at all, it's just dull and predictable.

I don't expect every Nolan movie to be a classic, but what I do appreciate is that they're just a bit more clever than your standard action blockbuster. It makes it worth the price of admission for me, even though of all the Nolan movies I've seen, only Batman Begins really stuck with me as an excellent film.

Sad to hear that Interstellar isn't all it was cracked up to be. There's very little to watch this fall in Japan unfortunately so I may go see it anyway since it's been a while since I went to the theater.

I thought gravity was overhyped as hell too, nowhere near as good.

Suarez behaviour disqualifies him. That's why.

Lahm deserves it the most. Outstanding footballer, leader and despite not scoring wins Bayern games by what he does at the other end of the field. High quality defenders are a precious rarity in the sport and Lahm is the best of them by some distance.

If Lahm got it, it'd very much be a lifetime achievement recognition. Winning the world cup would certainly help his cause but I'd pick Ronaldo for the past year. He's been sensational.

No chance Ronaldo wins it. Voters were not on his side until the pressure became too much for them.

In any case, I can't for the life of me take this award seriously. You can practically smell the agendas behind it.

An award that will not go to a very deserved Bayern Munich player. Instead all those 3rd world countries will vote for Ronaldo because he scores goals and plays well in FIFA 15.

As much as I hate Bayern, Lahm should win it. He's been consistently great for years(both for the club and national team), regardless of the position he played.

Its a marketing award, nothing else. Only important titles are those you win with your team.

Gravity is a movie not a theme park ride.

Saying I need to pay for a 20$ ticket to enjoy a movie is ridiculous and bad movie making. This just proves how much of a worse movie Gravity is even then what I thought.

I didn't like Gravity as a movie, but the whole experience was unlike anything I have ever seen, and Cuarón's cinematography was fucking sensational from start to finish, and it was made with IMAX in mind

And with Suarez it's a track record. I know it's meant to be over the past year but when you're banned for 3 months for a repeated offence it does kill any hope he has. Not trying to excuse Messi, don't know his situation well enough, but Suarez made his own bed imo.

Didn't take kindly to LvG labelling it an ageing squad though. Or was that Moyes. Whoever.
