Well I got the 3 free themes on my Asian account.

Also I don't think the themes are region locked. It's just that it's not available yet for the US store hence they are currently locked at the moment for US account (which I do have and using for PS+) I came to this conclusion because even the Youtube app I downloaded on my Asian account is locked in my US account. Just my two cents...

You guys complaining about region locked themes,
PS3 basically had region locked avatars.

Freaking Evangelion, Gundam and Ace Combat avatars for Japan only.

Wow, they did a lot of nice work on the voice system. When you say PlayStation, labels appear on everything on screen, and it reminds you of the 'all commands' command to show you the full list.

No voice commands for pausing blu-ray.

Can someone else find out if they have the same problem I have: Go into gameshare (all the way to selecting a friend) and then back out. Does your volume go down?

Sony has reached that next marketing step. They just released a feature that gamers will promote the PS4 and its games themselves.

Perhaps that's been temporarily disabled to help the network?

Themes are NOT region-locked. At least, not for me. I was able to apply all 3 on my US account after grabbing them from my JP account.

It could be a license issue. Try restoring licenses on the JP account to see if they can be used on other accounts after it.

How do I get mp3 playback working? I tried putting stuff in a folder structure of PS4/MUSIC. That didn't seem to do anything.

Wait, the EU update comes with zero actual themes? I just updated to 2.0 and there's only the default theme in the folder.

Pretty sure this is a bug. I was able to use the down button shortly after I started up. But it's not responding now, even on the What's New tile which had the down arrow.

It may have something to do with online access, which is spotty for people right now.

i had hoped with the export to youtube they would up the recording limit. Unfortunately 15 minutes is just not enough. most videos are up to 20 or 30 minutes. i guess you can edit them and upload them afterwards but that will be a hassle.

Would be nice if you could record for however long you wanted (no limit) and then cut it up to pieces a la twitch.

It's not gone, it's just PSN acting up.

Nothing at all, from the looks of things? I'm not seeing anything at all on What's New, either, though, and I can't believe they meant to remove that.

Maybe a PSN thing at the moment for What's New, but it looks like the per-game panels with the program-specific background and music is gone.

OK, good to know.

I just told the PS4 to shut down, and it now shows an outline of the PS4 to indicate where the power led is and to not unplug it until the led goes off.

And yeah, after starting back up, I'm seeing the per-game info and the what's new panels again.
