Halo: The Master Chief Collection | Review Thread

Halo 1-4 been out for awhile and I played 3/4th of the collection already. Don't need reviewers to tell me to get it or not FFS. Sony fans can give it a 1 and I still won't give a rats ass. XD

Getting this after my exam is over on Thursday night. Can't fucking wait.

Hey guys, just wanted to thank everyone for all the adds yesterday. Also for those that convinced me to get Morodor on my X1 instead of my PS4. I love this game, and it looks great even at 900p. And most importantly, I get to play with the X1 controller.

I haven't even jumped into Horizon 2 yet. I really need to. I'm just really loving Morodor.

im still on the fence about getting this game.

i feel it'll only tide me over for thanksgiving. I need to see how people like the multiplayer, which i know many people will be playing.

A part of me wants it but at the same time I want it too to fulfill my "Games on Demand Punchcard" when you purchase 3 Games on Demand titles you get 20,000 Rewards Credits. I need just one more game to fufill that

People are guaranteed to like the multiplayer. It's the same multiplayer we've played and loved for years, just objectively better at 60 fps and 1080p.

your not making these easier for me. lol I had already planned on getting it but then most of my friends with xbox1s said we aren't getting it due to the reason that they already been there doesn't that played already which left me questioning why i should get it myself. I mean I was planning on playing with friends but thats more then ruled out.

I assume they are not into shooter or competitive fps. Otherwise this game is a must at least for halo fans.

One friend is a die hard halo fan up and down, he doesn't have a Xbox1, the one is a casual halo fan (he just likes the multiplayer but that won't keep him there for long since Destiny is there for him) My other friend said he is considering thinking about getting it but he wants me to get Destiny(PS4) instead which I refuse to until I see black friday deals. And last my other friend might get it but I rarely talk to him due to his work schedule.

I already did my budget for games this month and December....fuckkkkk

tbh halo is much more fun with friends. You can add some gaffers.

You know, sadly enough I forgot about that. I hope you guys don't mind a black guy singing off key katey perry and taylor swift songs as wells as a myriad of singing pop/rock/rap songs from the 90s to current. :(

I'm fucking hyped. Me and my friend are going to play halo 1-4 through out the week with some multiplayer as breaks lol. Wish i had time to take off to play this every damn day this week. At least i have two days off when it releases.

Anyway putting this here instead of the OT cus its moving too fast. Ive decided that I want to sell my free code from GAME UK. I was just going to redeem it and give the games a go, but 4 free shooters arent what I want to play, halo or not.

These will be UK codes but im guessing they are region free. PM me if you are on the fence and waiting for the right price. We can work something out.

Nah, I get that.. I'm not trying to act like Halo is a game for every person. But as I said earlier in this thread, The Last of Us scoring mostly the same as last year makes sense because not much time has passed and the game provides much the same experience as it did last year, as not much has changed since then. Now, this isn't the case with something like Halo CE, where the game came out years ago, and would be very different for someone playing it for the first time ever today... however, the closest comparison to what The Last of Us PS3 represents in relation to The Last of Us Remastered would be...

I think the Halo 4 score is still mostly relevant to if the game had appeared today (it's weaker than most other Halo games, but easily better than most comparable shooters). So we're looking at res bumps to 1080p and around 60fps, plus three other Halo games (all with what most would agree to be far superior multiplayer), and completely remastering of one of those games... resulting in a metacritic difference of 2 points?

I'm not going to act like reviews should be objective or anything, but it's definitely less than I'd expect when I consider what the package is, and the games within it.

"To a Halo fan" is kinda meaningless btw. I could say TLOU Remastered is great for "a TLOU fan", or Mario Kart 8 is great for a "Mario Kart fan". It's a pretty pointless description, unless we're talking about a dramatic change from the series' roots (so Resident Evil 4, may actually not be what a "Resident Evil" fan wants).

Hey guys. I am a big Halo fan ( Although I hated Halo 4) is it worth buying a Xbox one for the Halo Collection?

that is the only thing I will be playing on the one though. Already have the PS4 as my main console.

There's no way these problems don't get fixed, so I would get a Black Friday Bundle Xbone and get MCC if you love Halo and plan on playing it a lot, and if you have interest in Halo 5. It's worth it once it all gets working.
