Grand Theft Auto V - Coming for PS4, Xbox One and PC this Fall - Trailer

Boy some of those pics are not very... flattering. Also is it just me or are they blurry as hell? I can't tell if it's due to just a cheap AA (like FXAA) or because of upscaling or a combination of both.

Hmm, gonna need to see some PS4 direct feed shots.

It's because they are highly compressed.

Wonder how they will handle the pc release ?

Obviously it'll probably be easier to just buy the digital version, but can you imagine how many dvds the physical retail release would be ? Since pc game installs are becoming much larger in recent times the game companies should "upgrade" themselves and release the pc versions of games on blu-ray discs.

You can still get PC games on discs?

4 DVDs. The rest you have to download as day-one "patch". Just like Wolfenstein TNO. And Max Payne 3 IIRC.

Preload is finally live but I had to force start it, wouldn't start auto even though I had that selected. 22 hours... Damn PS4 wifi is ridiculously slow.

Edit: US

My GTA V pre-load just got an update Xbox One. Its now 43.5GB and 2GB reserve for save. I don't know if this means overall size of the game is 45.5GB or not.

This is why I went physical... no download required. The install will take minutes, not hours.

Takes longer for the game to get to me on day of release than it does to download and have it ready as soon as the game goes live. Takes longer for me to go to the store to go to a midnight than it does for me to have it ready as soon as it goes live.

Here

I should probably go to a friends house and play the prologue or something soon, I guess.

You'll have to download the Day 1 Patch, so...
And that's what.. couple hundred megs? Updates tend to go quickly, I imagine they're served up from different servers than the raw install files. In either event, 200MB will download a fuckton faster than 50,000MB.

True, but it's not like I'm taking the day off work. I won't be home until the evening regardless, and no way in hell will I stay up for midnight. It'll be there when I get home. I'll be able to start playing at the same time regardless of which one I bought.

And I won't piss off my internet provider in the process. The local ISP still hasn't figured out what digital distribution and streaming is, and they tend to get pissy when I download a terabyte or so.

Am I crazy to think, nothing from that exclusive stuff listed looks interested or adds value? lol like seriously. I would rather prefer some extra cash.

Actually day one patch is over a gig

My internet is okay (30 down / 6 up) but I'd never buy a digital download on a major release like remastered Grand Theft Auto V.

I want the Blu-ray Disc - I want the box - I want the map, etc. So anyway, I went to GameStop to pre-order my phsical copy this afternoon.

GS said they're releasing it at 11:01 PM Monday. Also said I will get the $1 million for pre-ordering. That's 50/50 for single player and Online right?

Also getting the bonus content for returning players.

Feels good.

Man, the year since PS4 launched seems to have gone by so, so fast.

Pre-loaded and ready to go. I'm excited by the fact that the timer is counting down to 12AM Eastern even though PSN's picture for pre-load advertised 12AM PST.

While I am sticking with physical for consoles, I haven't bought a PC game on disc in years. Probably never will again. And, before you ask, it's because of storage space. My PC's storage makes the PS4's drive look like a thumb stick. Physical on console is partially for the initial install speed as I mentioned before, but also re-installation at a later date if I take a break from the game for a while and want to free up some space.

Guys i have both consoles. 4 and One - no important friends on either. What should i buy now?
The PS4 version has that extra controller specific stuff like switching to first person with just one button and probably more things I don't really care about.
While we don't know which version looks/performs the best the safest choice is to get the PS4 version if you're in a rush and don't want to wait on the DF analysis.
