So I've been playing Truth and Reconciliation on Legendary for two nights straight. I spent several really frustrating hours on it, and my throat is still sore from all the cursing and yelling at the TV. But I finally got close to the end of the level, and I uncovered the terminal. Of course, it took me to the Halo Channel to watch it, but I didn't want to watch it, so I skipped it. Back to the game.

Only the game requires the update to continue. I cancel it, I'll update later, let me get back to my campaign. But no, that won't work, it demands the update. Sigh... Oh well, I suppose I'll update, I mean, the updater will surely save and quit before it does anything, right? Right?

Emblems still don't load, parties still split up, still lose connection at the postgame report, still have to re-invite my friend after leaving a playlist.

Patch thus far has fixed ZERO for me.

I finally got the update to que for me and it downloaded in under 10 mins so not too bad. I would be pissed if it kicked me out of legendary play through. It already made me restart Reclaimer in Halo 4 TWICE on legendary because I quit out and it didn't save and the 2nd time because an event wasn't trigged so the rest of the level wouldn't load. I was very upset.

I couldn't, the terminal took me out of the game automatically, and then I couldn't return without updating. I suppose I might have tried going offline, but I really wasn't anticipating this.

Oh, and Bungie? Fuck you as well, for coming up with such a terrible save system in the first place. I wish this was the first time I lost hours of progress playing Halo, but it's not. Games crash sometimes, you know.

I'm pretty sure the patch made everything worse. The game kept kicking my buddy from the party, I hard locked during co-op, and got into one Halo 3 match in the half hour we searched for matches.
