No. The first one is legit good.
The 2nd movie was just lazy though. Its basically the exact same story arch from the 1th movie beat for beat but they tossed in some more Wrath of Khan references.
Am I alone in liking Abram's Star Trek?
Star Trek 2009 is better than pretty much every other Trek film other than 2 and 6.
I assumed it was what the thread title said it is.
Is there going to be another longer trailer coming in a week?

Is there going to be another longer trailer coming in a week or so? If that's the case, I'm pretty excited.
Probably already commented on but, the Sith, could be Luke right? The robe sort of reminds of what he wore in RotJ. Well it's black, and that robe was black....
ok, probably not.
second movie is crap for basically taking a dump on 2 by doing the whole spock dying (but this time kirk!) thing that was legit shocking and touching back then and ruining it by "lol kidding he's alive" 2 seconds later instead of waiting for the next film at least
I don't think Abrams has ever made a good film really, but I also think he was the perfect choice for SW7. His entire career feels like it was building towards making Star Wars.
I think this is going to be the first non-Cameron film to hit two billion.
Imagine a Star Fox game that looks like this mmmmm
Hahahayou're gonna shit your pants with your mouth open

I feel like more information about what the movie is about is shared with the Star Trek teaser than this one.
I enjoyed both of them immensely, but not really as Star Trek movies per se. It's not really Roddenberry's vision, it's a reimagined action-based spin-off, and as that, it's great.Am I alone in liking Abram's Star Trek?
Yeah pretty much this^No. I like it a lot though not at all in the same way as other Trek. It's like apples and oranges to me. If you go from the more cerebral Next Generation series to the reboot series expecting the same thing, you're not going to be happy. The complaints that it is lacking a lot of what makes Star Trek..Star Trek are basically true. Then again, lots of the classic movies lacked it as well. As its own piece of entertainment however it's still very cool and I enjoy it a lot.
I do hope that someday Star Trek has a new series that gets back to its roots and deals more with morals and ethics like TNG did. Embracing the bright future that Gene Roddenberry imagined. It's the real heart of Trek. Until then I'm still very entertained by Abrams Trek.
Though I'm not interested in debating these points with anyone here because I don't want to derail the Star Wars thread
Not to clown too hard at your pulling a single frame from an 88 second trailer and using it to make a judgment about the movie entire, but there's dirt all over the bike she's on, and she's got a giant pair of goggles on her head, sitting over a headwrap that i'm pretty sure COVERS HER FACE. So if her face is clean it might be because of the fact she keeps it covered when she's driving around the desert on a giant creamsicle engine.
LOL Christenson is a fucking TERRIBLE, one-note actor.
See: Life as a House, Shattered Glass.

I like how it is anyway, but here's my crack at 'improving' it.

I think the teaser is rad, I'm very excited. I think it will be good, I just don't think his efforts so far have been. I don't think they really care about it being a great film, just a must-see event, and he is more than capable of delivering that.you're gonna shit your pants with your mouth open

Darth Quincy?
Hahaha
Wonder when we get a full trailer. Super Bowl?
that first shot of boyega tells me way more about this film than the "we're building the enterprise cause its a new star trek and this is all we're trying to convey" teaser
Youtube and it's stup 301+ views. I wanna see the number go up in real time.
i feel sorry for the people who hated the trailer. So much fucking hate. Are you really that dead inside you can't enjoy a teaser trailer for a science fiction movie?
I don't understand this, having main characters in sequels = nostalgia? I understand they are not the main characters of this trilogy but if they were it would work like any sequel, new stories with characters we love.
I want good new stories and if it involves my favorite movie characters of all time the better.
I like how it is anyway, but here's my crack at 'improving' it.
Wedge turned down the role saying it would be boring to play the same character his entire career. I shit you not.Any news of Wedge making an apperance?
I still think that's a stretch. I think Revan almost being in Clone Wars hardly counts. Besides, I really doubt the nitty gritty of TCW will have any impact on what goes into the new films.
